Oh, I almost forgot a couple others: Dana Carvey's "Clean Slate".

Hey, that film's the reason I actually rented Master of Disguise, man. Is it supposed to be bad? (MoD sucked completely, however.)

I saw part of Master of Disguise on a display at the K-Mart once.  It was somehow even worse than I expected, and I had really low expectations.

I mean, the point of disguise is to blend in, not stick out like a sore thumb.

Did you like The Village?  I ask because I figured that one out in about five minutes or less, and I was thoroughly disappointed.

At first, no. I learned ahead of time that the movie had a twist ending and I spent a good portion of my first viewing trying to figure it out. (Didn't take long.) Later in retrospect, I realized how much of a mistake that was on my part. If I just allowed the movie to guide me along rather than the other way around, or if it didn't have Shyamalan's name on the cover, I would have enjoyed it a lot more. I consider "The Village" to be an above-average thriller.

By the time I saw The Village, it was common knowledge that it had another M. Night "surprise" ending.  In other words, I set into it with the intentiion of figuring it out as fast as possible.  I should probably watch it again and see if I was too harsh.

Doesn't the Village suck because it's essentially a movie about Amish people? If there's nothing appealing about the subject or plot of the movie, then there's no point sitting around waiting for its twist.

I liked the movie. And yes, I didn't mind the ending either.

Hey! Who doesn't love Harrison Ford punching tourists?
Dammit, Maverick! Why don't you play by the rules?!

"Joel, what's a Harringway?"
"About a pound."

I would let Harrison Ford punch me if he promised to buy me a new ice cream cone after.

I thought they weren't tourists but scumbad "Townies" with nothing better to do.

Fuzzy Necromancer

I've always thought townies was a rather strange way to describe people living in a nearby town. It sounds like some kind of subhuman mutation or undead creature. I can totally see a movie poster with a sleepy villaige silloute and a swarm of shadowy vaguely-human shapes with pinpricks of glowing blue for eyes, and "THE TOWNIES" in dripping-slime-green font.
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

"Where there's smoke, there's a smoke-making machine."

Fuzzy Necromancer

Arrr.

Still, my assertion remains that its a rather odd descriptive word, and seems a lot more like some kind of shambilng spirit-gum clad extra in a horror movie than people who live in the community that the college is a part of.
