Many years ago, my sister and I were watching TV late one night and stumbled upon a guy and these two...things--we couldn't quite figure out what they were against the dark screen--talking back to this old black-and-white space movie.  We had NO idea what it was.  All we knew is that we were laughing so hard we almost choked.  I was hooked.  (BTW, the movie was #201, Rocketship X-M.)

I was a faithful viewer through the years, initiating other family members and then later my husband into the world of MST3K, and I was sad to see it go off the air.  That's why I was thrilled when, earlier this week, I was wandering around the Internet, and happened across Rifftrax.  What a find!  I was like, How long has this been going on, and why wasn't I told?!  So far, we've only seen the Matrix, but my husband and I both loved it, and we can't wait to see them all.  This is a great idea.  Thank you, won't you?

It's such a good feeling to know that beloved series such as MST3K can live on in some form or another!

Rifftrax has filled the long void since MST3K left the airwaves, and soon we will experience the Film Crew resurrecting the genius idea of making fun of crappy old movies!

Long live the Riff!!!!!

...another girl?!?

We're going to have to start putting up wallpaper, and hanging fancy curtains with fancy little fringes dangling off the bottom, we're going to have to start setting out "throw" pillows with nicely embroidered daisies on them, and covering our battered settee with a crocheted sheet from zimbabwe with real tribal patterns on.  We'll have to start putting out cork coasters for our beers and cork place mats for our dinners, then we'll have to throw our rubbish into a wicker basket hand woven by Ikea's famous gregorian monks.  We'll have to start putting things back in to their rightful place and not just stacking them artfully in a pile of asymmetric beauty: beer cans will no longer represent the pyramids at Giza, pizza boxes will lose their resemblance to the Empire State building, stacks of DVD's no longer lean under their weight like the tower of Pisa...  Farts are out of the question, at least, not the loud rumbly ones you use to impress/repulse friends.  Picking your nose will be a stealthy exercise in patience and subtle flicking/wiping.  Burping will be followed by a meek smile and a small "pardon me".  Coughs and yawns will be covered by hands!  And I'll never be able to remove my pants!

Hey! Welcome to the board, Junestar!   ;D
