Mega Man X2 and X3 are to me very difficult and even though I've bought them and got them on my 2DS XL... I just feel very little motivation to try and beat them because in the end they always end up kicking my ass.

Well now that motivates me even more. Making progress is slow going, but I'm still slowly collecting upgrades, even if I keep getting interrupted by Bit.  Haven't found and capsules yet though. I forget where they are.

Harder than X1? I can't remember if I ever finished (or even played) any of the subsequent X games, but I definitely played X1, and by Mega Man standards it's pretty easy. If you ever get the chance, play the original Mega Man. That game is brutal. Borderline impossible if you don't know what order to do the stages. I've beaten MM1 dozens of times, not once have I ever beaten Elecman using just the Mega Buster. 2 & 3, while easier, were no cakewalks either.

The X series is inherently easier because of the wall climbing mechanic. This can save you from a LOT of pit and spike deaths. Plus I think Capcom was starting to realize their demographic was no longer just 12 year olds with superhuman reflexes and dexterity. Like me when MM1 was released  8)

Finally finished Alien: Isolation. Not sure if I'd ever go through it again, but glad I finally beat it.

Congratulations!

Did you play on hard like the game suggested? I did, and I could never get past the medical center.

Mega Man X was easy enough, but Mega Man X2 was mega-hard! If you don't believe me, try climbing up the walls in Flame Stag's stage while there's lava creeping up on you! Or the teeny-tiny platforms in stages like Bubble Crab and Wire Sponge! It was so hard that I found it unplayable except on "Rookie Mode" provided with the Legacy Collection. I only played a bit of X3 but I didn't like how it automatically shifted you to Zero without your input and say-so. Mega Man X4 was easy enough; about as easy (if not easier) than Mega Man X.

You're only shifted to zero in the first stage. I actually didn't realize I could switch to him at any time until I had already upgraded X to the point where he was more powerful. Would have been useful early on.

I think one of the previous failed attempts was on hard, and I think I gave up at the same spot. Went with easy for this one. Now that I know a bit what I'm doing, I think I could do it on hard, but I don't know if its worth it.

Also, I think I didn't use a single craftable item other than medkits, pipe bombs, and a couple EMPs.

Dead Cells!

I had about 140 hours on the various Alpha and Beta versions, but when the full release came out, I reset the game and started all over. Despite that though, I'd never actually beaten the Hand of the King in the Beta. Now I'm at 160 hours total (so an additional 20 since the reset), and I just beat him for the first time. I'm pretty sure the full release is actually easier than the previous versions, just because Legendary items are a LOT more common. By the last stage I had a L-Assassins Dagger and a L-Rampart Shield (aka Force Shield in the Beta) with +300% damage after a parry. Also had 20 Survival scrolls. Pretty much just tanked him and ripped him to pieces with the dagger. Same with the Time Keeper (aka Assassin in the Beta). It was actually pretty funny  8)

"Why do birds fly?"

I just finished Tales of Bersaria and it is a rather great RPG to play through.

Ive been playing on the switch and have been loving it. I haven't sunk a ton of time into it, but this weekend I plan on devoting a lot of time to it. I still need to unlock the wall jump ability, and the ground smash ability to break those ground pieces. But I'm havin fun.

I don't, as a general rule, suggest consulting a wiki for a game you haven't already beaten, but in this case I make an exception. You absolutely want to get the Ram Rune (ground smash) and Spider Rune (wall run/jump) ASAP. Even knowing in advance where they are, they're still pains in the collective ass to get.

I beat Devil May Cry this morning. To be honest though this wouldn't be my first time beating this game. I'm just glad that almost 20 years later I can still beat this game.

Finally beat Dead Cells on normal!  Wooo!  Funny enough, I've been playing on the Switch, which has been stuck at v1.0 until yesterday when they finally updated it. My first run on the new update I beat the hand of the king, but supposedly the update made the game harder. Probably just a coincidence.

Last night I finally beat Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. Oh My God I had to continue like three times. Here's the thing, I've got five Pokemon I can use in each challenge and even if you don't make a mistake, a puzzle can still easily screw you over especially on the Super Hard difficulty. The problem is since I continued I didn't get the "real" ending. I felt like the game was telling me "Oh, you continued? Stop being such a pussy!". I was like whatever, I beat Dragonite, I did it on the hardest possible difficulty, I win, the end.

Finally beat Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice. Like all the Ace Attorney games, it's packed with twists and turns and makes you feel like a genius when you figure out what's going on. I've fallen into a pattern with these games and it's been there ever since the first one. I play nothing but the game until about the third case, and then I decide I need a break and get distracted for a year or two, and then, just when there's a new Phoenix Wright game on the horizon, I dive back in and wonder why I ever stopped. (In this case, it's the rerelease of the old games that made me get off my butt and start cross-examining witnesses.)
