That was a really nice thing to say, Randy.  :) And I believe in all those things too. It's just sometimes a little harder to remember that I believe in them when I'm watching mutilated bodies pile up on the screen -- but since I hate to miss a Rifftrax, I'll at least try!

LOL!  That's why I love rifftrax!  It makes fun of stuff that other people think is scary/serious etc.  Many native American traditions say that if you can laugh in the face of fear then you have conquered it.  Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy helps us do that.

Happy SAMHAIN, everyone!

That's why action/sci-fi/horror movies work best for Rifftrax. They take themselves too seriously. And when those movies try to be funny but aren't, that's when the hilarity is really ramped up.

And I thought the warning sound for the train did a good approximation of the Halloween theme. And there were a few MST3K references that coulda been made, but probably weren't to distance this project from MST3K. Like, when victim #1 said, "Be natural! Be natural!" I was like, "Mr. B Natural? Where?!" And who else was just waiting for "Chief? MCCLOUD!" You know where I mean. Kevin even started listing random names.
I had a MST3K moment during the scene when Michael is stalking Jamie Lee Curtis with his stolen station wagon.  Watching the featureless suburban landscape drift past the windows for about five minutes, I had no option but to say "sigh...Manos!"

It may have been lost in the shuffle, but I loved Kevin's line of "Mike Oldfield called, he wants his music back!" during the end credits.  It's just something I appreciate as a Tubular Bells fan.

Oh, yeah!  And wasn't that kid in the movie supposed to be dressed as Luke Skywalker?  Not a single Skywalker riff.  And I saw the perfect place for one!  When he and the little girl are watching TV and he crawls over the side of the couch to go to the window, I inserted the following riff:  "Luke Couchwalker."

Actually he was dressed like one of the charecters from Space: 1999... Sorry to ruin your riff  ;D

Personally I loved this one - horror is probably one of the best genres to riff on.

Also good to hear the return of Mikes Donald Pleasence voice - a reminder of the heady days of Pumaman (or is that Poomaman?).

Very well done rifftrack, ^^^ I've also noticed that horror movies work well (all except for the Grudge of course :-)

Edit: that came off as harsh, grudge riff is okay, just wasnt my favorite :-*

I love Halloween. My favorite of the genre. However, The riff is feckin hilarious and does point out some of the more obvious flubs and gaffes that I kinda overlooked as a fan.

Pure 70's gold riffin'.
I have to tingal.

Absolutely fantastic. It edged out Star Trek V as my favorite Rifftrax.

It was funny, but my friend and I agreed that it was too well-made of a movie to really dig into. Good attempt, and I will definitely watch it again in late October.

Any riffs you were expecting to hear but didn't? I'll definitely be doing more of my own riffing from now on, thanks to the contest. On my first pre-RiffTrax viewing, there was:

some character: SH*T!
victim #1: I've already got a place for that.
me: The backyard.

Helped a lot that they actually compared her to a dog later.

Totally with you on McCloud.

I thought at least some of the OBVIOUS mistakes....

Like when the 3 girls are walking after school and Linda makes the comment,"Speed kills!'
Following the stop and the Shape driving off again, they HEAD THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION they were going:heading once again toward the school.

Another one I thought was funny, was when Donalds character is on the side of the road on the pay phone.....when he goes and discovers the truck, you can clearly see the boom operator in the pay phone reflection

All in all....I enjoyed it immensely . :D
