Dearest Forumistas,
For a while we here at Rifftrax have been wondering if it would be possible to do more material, but we've been limited by the line up of writers: myself, Mike, Kevin, and more recently Conor (who has proven to be invaluable, as well as a damned fine speller). But that's been it, except for BATMAN AND ROBIN... where we just sat around and ate bon-bons while other people did the hard work.
So...as part of a little Rifftrax Presents experiment, I enlisted the aid of some contributing writers for the first draft of the X-FILES script. Two are from this very community: Josh Way and Courtney Enlow. The third, Sean Thomason, isn't a regular here to my knowledge. But all three of them did great work, and I was really pleased to have their help.
As I've already told all three of them, we're not sure if this will go anywhere, for all sorts of reasons having nothing to do with their considerable talents. I did want to offer them public thanks and congratulations, though, especially since the material rewards for their good work were humble indeed.
Some guy named Kevin Murphy also helped write the script, as did the fabulous Ms. Mary Jo Pehl herself. (Who is, I suppose I should remind you, kinda my deadly enemy as well.)
Thanks Josh, Courtney, and Sean, for your excellent contributions to our Future-fighting. (The Future is such an ass!)
The Truth will be Out There sometime next week, I believe.

I really want to thank Rifftrax for the shot at writing, especially Bill for being SO helpful and quick to email and check on the situation (I suspect he was worried for our sanity) and I loved every minute of it (even though I will actually strangle the next caveman I see, because good lord, did that get old fast). But as proud as I am of this, I am far prouder of one thing:
I kept a secret for two whole months. That is an absolute record for me, beating my previous record of three hours. So that was pretty awesome.
I really hope everyone enjoys it, and I can't wait to see it!

Wow...I'm extremely jealous. But to put my jealousy aside, I fully expect this track to be freakin hilarious, so much talent on one track, its incredible!
I'm way excited for this one, kudos Courtney and JoshWay!

I must echo Courtney's words. I'm ever grateful to Bill for this opportunity, and to the gang at Rifftrax for letting him run with such a foolhearty experiment. It was a great experience.
You forum folks already know this, but Bill Corbett is a very nice man. Too bad that dastardly Mary Jo Pehl is constantly thwarting his efforts.
