Netflix sent me the full-frame version of this, and since that is simply NOT allowed, I went ahead and bought it for $14 used online:

I'm still amazed that there are transformers fans 20 years after a cartoon and some toys came out. When do we get the multi-million-dollar My Little Pony franchise?

I'm amazed there are Transformers fans after the two recent Transformers movies. You people are crazy! But then, there are still Star Wars and Star Trek fans, and they've seen just as bad times.

Can you imagine how bad the "added footage" deemed not good enough to make the final cut will be? Hopefully we get a a chihuahua money shot, which might add a touch of class.

Got myself two of my favorite cartoons as a kid. Snow White and Pinocchio! I loved those growing up and it will be fun to see them in Blu-Ray and if they actually look better than i remember them.

I've seen them both and they look amazing. The best part is the Blu Rays come with lots of extras and a DvD copy of the movies.

Weren't all the seasons of The Shield shot fullframe?
Season 1 was, but in season 2 they went 16:9. It would blow my mind if they reverted back to 1.33:1 for season 3. EDIT: After looking into it a bit more, it looks like you're right Doctor Who, The Shield was broadcast in 1.33. But the show was apparently filmed in widescreen, then chopped down for broadcast. And there are different versions of the show out there on DVD, some of them kept the 1.33 ratio, while other later releases went back to the 1.78 (at least according to the specs on amazon). I just hope the used set I ordered online is widescreen.

I just hope the used set I ordered online is widescreen. Some point before Season 6 was released Sony took over the distribution and re-released all the old seasons. If you want the Widescreen ones you have to get those. Since I bought all the original Fox distributed ones that only have "fool" frame, I think I am just going to upgrade to this set: Also apparently it will never come to blu-ray: # @ShawnRyanTV: I asked Sony when The Shield would be on Blu-Ray. I was told that our film wasn't high enough quality to put on Blu-Ray. Seems appropriate. # @ShawnRyanTV: To clarify, Sony said the 16 mm FILM STOCK was of insufficient quality to put out on Blu-Ray, not the quality of the show. Thnx for concern.

Transformers have been around in toys stores and on TV in many forms since 1984. There were a few gaps in the late 80s and early/mid 90s where there was no new cartoon.
