Did anybody mention yet that when you watch this move with the subtitles they spell the phantomFANTOM (do not want)

Now that could be forgotten and forgiven easily, except this is a movie that uses literary characters to tell a story.
But after watching the movie it's clear that the screenwriter never read all of these books that he's referencing.

Yes a character from Le Fantôme de l’Opéra so while it's missing a final e it's actually closer to the spelling of the original novel than the English translation.

In the car, Mina explicitly accuses Alan of reading books just by looking at their covers. Now that is one self-aware screenwriter.

Are we still sending our scripts to riffs@riffrafftheater.com? When I try to send it there, I keep getting a message that my email failed to be delivered. Any explanation as to why this may be?

It was stated in this thread, in a previous thread, and on riffrafftheater.com that we would no longer be accepting emailed scripts. Please go to http://www.riffrafftheater.com and click on "Join the Mob" to submit your script. Instructions are available on that page. Also be sure you have read the "Writing for LXG" blog post on the main page of the site.

Thanks! I look forward to reading your submission. Smiley

So this is just a regular riffraff, its not going to be performed by mike and crew, correct?

How many "schuck it Trebek" jokes are going to be in this? I want at least 10.

Yeah, I'll go in the other direction and guess that we might see one Trebek  joke. From the responses in the B&R thread, the guys seem to dislike the expected jokes, so I suspect most Trebek riffs might be purposefully rejected.

In my riff watching opinion, if a joke is expected enough, it really comes out kind of disappointing when they don't say it.

Personally, I'd agree, but I'm not one doing the editing.
