And just because you disagree with my views, they are certainly not self-centered. As I mentioned before, slightly more than half of the world's population is made up of females. That's about as not-self-centered as it gets.
Oh, now that's rich. You disagree with our views (or what you say are our views) and we're all grunting animals trapped in the 1800s. You know damn well there's nothing we could say to you that would appease you, so how about you go back to the fantasy world you've constructed for yourself where nothing offends you. Well, sure there's lots of things you could say. You could try being a thoughtful human being and listen to what I'm trying to say with an objective mind, even if you disagree with me. Heck, there's even lots of ways you could tell me that you disagree with me without being vile and making personal attacks. |

How about if one of her breasts were cut off? Or if the cancer had killed her - what if she were dead? Pretty sexy, huh? I find it very surprising to see this kind of garbage here, although I guess I should know better than to expect any kind of dignity or respect towards women in this forum. Cuz women are just things, apparently. And that post came at the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Very Smooth. I hope to god that you never have a female member of your family succumb to this disease, but if they did, would you even learn anything? Probably not. Guess that was over your head No, not really. I understand, and still think it's terribly sexist, in poor taste, and not funny. You guys are being waaaaay too harsh on MZStilletto. She has a pretty good argument, and she's agruing it calmly and intelligently. I can say this is the first time on these forums that I think the "bandwagon" is in the wrong. Comparing her to googergeiger is totally wrong.

As a woman who has lost all of my mother's side of the family to one kind of cancer or the other - and expect to go the same way myself one day - can I weigh in?
I took that original poster as a joke about the charity/public information people/whatever using a "suggestive" picture when the subject was anything but....and nothing more.
But it upset MzStilletto so she said something - as is her right. She spoke her mind.
As far as what's happened here since then - with very few exceptions - you should all be embarrassed.

I just thought Miss Beenie would like to see a picture of my costume, since she's the one who mentioned Jem. Just because a woman posts a picture of herself doesn't mean she's looking for approval, especially from someone she wasn't speaking to directly. You could have posted any response you liked though, just as I have posted my responses to the pics you have posted on this public forum. I wouldn't have posted my pic otherwise, especially if I didn't want to take the chance of receiving any negative responses. Do you undertstand yet? |

I Admit that I was caught off guard by it, but I look at life in a Humorous way (more-so than others I guess), because I was raised to be serious when it was obvious, but just laugh as much as you can because you only live once. |
