If you people REALLY don't know why this shit is sexist, then I hope to god that I never EVER have the extreme displeasure of having to meet you in person.
I am *this* close to boycotting Rifftrax due to the overwhelming number of mysoginist losers and the apparent lack of moderation of such imagery on these boards.
I mean, I can see why the mods wouldn't want to keep the boards "100% squeaky clean" as someone once said (after all, fuck 'em if they can't take a joke, right?), but seeing as how Women make up SLIGHTLY MORE THAN HALF THE POPLULATION OF THE WHOLE DAMN WORLD, maybe that's a good enough reason to pull in the reins a bit. It's not like we're a minority, which groups are apparently ripe for the bashing on this forum also.
But you know what they say - you gotta pick your battles.
Or perhaps the "Women are not welcome here" message that is being broadcast is indeed what the folks at Rifftrax want to convey...? If so, please let me know so I can stop wasting my time and money on it.

Stop being immature. Whether Mz overreacted or not isn't important, what's important is that she genuinely expressed her problems with a post like this and as a thoughtful forum we shouldn't deliberately post things that are made to offend and piss people off.

Its clear to me that you have a very low opinion of women in general (whether you realize it or not) and I therefore have a very low opinion of you. Why you should give a rodent's posterior about that I have yet to fathom. And I highly doubt that my response could be considered a "violent spew of directed anger". If I wanted to be violent, I would simply threaten violent action. You know, like most MEN would do. Just because a woman says something or expresses an opinion in a way that isn't socially acceptable for women to do (i.e. sweety, giggly, or not at all) doesn't mean she's being violent, or even out of line. And that's all I'M trying to get across. I don't expect to make you change your mind, as I have neither the time nor the inclination to find a way to get you to un-learn everything you have learned about your attitude towards the female gender and then re-educate you. If you have any kind of passion for self-improvement (like Homer) then you may seek to do this on your own accord. |

See, ONE simple little derogatory post - not even the whole post, just one sentence - and someone has a problem with it: "Hey, you can't say that about men, that's not fair!" Sound familiar? I even debated on whether or not to put that line in my post. I decided to do so, mostly to see what the reaction would be, and it was exactly what I thought it would be. But there can be a hundred derogatory posts regarding women and not even a whisper. Until I came along. Only my opinion. Do with it what you will. |
