That came out of nowhere. Says released Nov 5 and that was yesterday. Nice surprise. I had hoped that mkb would riff it, but beggars can't be choosers. Wonder why there weren't any announcements. There isn't even a page for it up on the board yet.

Ya know, I just mentioned this in the Christmas show thread (one of them anyway), and I didn't even realize that the release date has already passed. I even thought "Hey, November 5th, that's pretty soon!"
Maybe it has something to do with Footloose being released that day. Perhaps they just got confused.

Sounds like there maybe an issue finding the correct version of the disc.. Thrifty posted here http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/topic,4448.msg486494.html#msg486494 that Netflix sent him the Extended version and not the Theatrical which they used for riffing, and there's no Amazon link to the theatrical version.. Mine will be arriving from Netflix tomorrow but it may be the extended version as well so be advised..  Dammit! Maybe I shouldn't be so brazen about saying that in public.
You ever been to a Bit torrent site? They're always covered in pictures of skanky women in underwears. I always feel compelled to run both a full virus scan for my computer and a few VD tests on me.

The torrent I got was 110 minutes. I think. I might have been reading Windows Media Player wrong. Or maybe Amazon uses the 4 minutes of extra crap like menu transitions, FBI warnings (in 3 different languages) and "commentaries do not contain the studio's official opinion" disclaimers (in 3 different languages). Who knows? I guess I'll figure it out when the riff is released. |

Amazon is wrong a lot when there are multiple version of movies. The actual run time of the single disc widescreen theatrical version is 1:50.07 so 110 minutes. That netflix BS is why Rifftrax didn't do Ghost Rider in the first place.
What B.S. ? If Netflix only has the extended then wouldn't they just do the extended? Or does Netflix send out randomly the extended and the non-extended? |
