It was edited out of our final cut but when Steve-O performed that first riff you mentioned we all broke out laughing so hard that we almost missed some of our lines.  It's funny that no matter how much you see the line on paper, it's even more hilarious when you hear it performed.

Anyway, we're truely thrilled that you loved it.  We worked very hard getting this first one off the ground.  So, it's nice to know that our hard work paid off.

We're finishing the riff script for Titan AE this week and should have it released by the end of this month.  And our very first VOD release will be coming in time for Christmas!  Stay tuned.   Smiley

Looking to try out a new iRiff this weekend?  Here are a few good reasons to give The Movie Asylum's riff of Halloween II some love:

  • You're a cheap bastard -- Halloween II can usually be found new for around 5 to 10 dollars, and the riff is only $0.99.  Next to a Wendy's Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, it's the best possible use of a buck in the known universe!

  • The movie's actually not horrible -- Halloween II is that rarest of beasts: a horror sequel that doesn't completely suck.  It picks up right where the original left off, and retains much of its spirit, while actually building on its mythos.  Also: BOOBIES!

  • Blood is icky -- While not quite as gore-free as the orignal, Halloween II is pretty light on the blood and guts as these things go.  No lingering close-ups on gushing chest wounds here.

  • Speaking of chests -- Did I mention BOOBIES!?

  • Donald Pleasence! -- 'nuff said.

  • You can watch it and still maintain your geek cred -- Michael Myers wears a bleached William Shatner mask, so you can enjoy this riff without breaking your personal pledge to never watch any film that doesn't feature a member of the original Star Trek cast.

  • If you don't buy it, I will cry -- You really want that on your conscience?

Steve-O, I think it's pretty obvious that people are just too scared to listen to our riffing brilliance on Halloween 2.  It's either that or my mention of man ass scared them all away.

others might be like me. i've downloaded a fair amount, including yours (which i got for free & plan to pay for if i like as much as the sample! i swear!), but getting around to watching stuff when i'm working on writing for my own stuff is becoming more and more difficult. so i plan to get to H2 as soon as i've finished ST2 (which i bought first) .... and Alone in the Dark  ... and the shorts that I've bought that I always end up watching first ... and ... and ... and.

But I liked the sample & plan to buy after I've watched the whole thing! Huzzah!

Thank you.  We're just teasing you guys for the most part.  I understand how it is right now with iRiffs.  We're just anxious to hear some more feedback.  Positive or negative.  But mostly positive please.  If you tell us that we suck we'll cry and run away from home.  You wouldn't want that now, would you?

I'm probably going to break down and order a copy from Amazon soon.  As it is I've been checking every discount shelf/bin in any store I happen to find myself in for a copy.  If only I'd have picked it up in advance in October when Wal Mart was all but throwing cheap copies of horror movies at people as they left.

After my comic book shop-stop tomorrow afternoon, I'm stopping by Best Buy to pick up a copy of Halloween 2. I so don't need Steve-O's tears on my conscience.   Smiley

I'm looking forward to this, guys!
