If you do your own mixing from the archive.org version, just cut off 0.4 seconds from the rifftrax mp3.

You shouldn't need to do that. We've provided you the source audio from the DVD that we authored from, which will probably as good as (if not better than) whatever's on the web. So combine that with the mpeg-2 we provide and you should be okay.

Well, shoot. I've been using the source audio that you provide to figure out how to line up the rifftrax audio to the archive.org version. I hadn't noticed the mpeg-2 version, since I've never downloaded the whole thing from you guys before. Der-hey.

About as legal as selling public domain shorts on our site to begin with, I'd imagine.

I was just confused about the fact that the source is a DVD.  No big thing.

They can sell public domain film's, but they don't have exclusive rights to them.

Exactly. I could make a giant DVD set of every public domain film there is. It wouldn't sell and would be pretty dumb, but I could do it.

You might be surprised at how many people do exactly that and make money off of it.  Not a bad "scam" as it were.  Hmmm... >:D
