That's it,We must dig up South America!

Well we made a start:

Thus far we've turned up a  lost episode of Adam Adamant Lives! and an alternative cut of Birth of a Nation, but sadly no Hartnell or Troughton Dr Whos

Doctor Who?

Good Work men!

If this doesn't pan out should we move on to Africa?

I KNEW there was a copy out there....or the pieces to put a whole one together....they just weren't looking hard enough.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

And if you've seen the documentary on the Kino DVD on how they digitally cleaned up the footage for that...

I can't wait to see this!

(and about London After Midnight....have you seen the "reconstruction" that was done from stills of the film?  I love Chaney but I get the feeling that the make-up was the most memorable thing about that...and it could be a little disappointing)

Doctor Who?

It is incredible what they can do with old footage these days.

The Doctor Who DvDs look great compared to the VHSes.

Seriously...I was thinking last night that that's how much of a GEEK I am....

One of the first things I thought of when the Berlin Wall fell was that now the film historians can get in there and look for a copy of Metropolis that the Soviets wouldn't have worried about finding....

:speechless:

Doctor Who?

I know some Doctor Who fans who feel the same way whenever a new dictatorship falls.

Me too.....

I'm a Whovian from the mid-1980's.

Doctor Who?

There's nothing like being a fan of something that has huge chunks missing.

Troughton is my second favorite Doctor so i hope we have a find like this at some point.

Coming to theaters nationally in May!
Thank you sir.  That made my day about a million times better.  I can't wait to see it on the big screen again.

QuoteFurther information on THE COMPLETE METROPOLIS and annotations of all recovered scenes - as well as images, clips and theatrical playdates - will be uploaded to the new Metropolis website, which goes live on April 15. The site will be hosted at www.kino.com/metropolis.

I'll trust you guys to keep an eye on that for me.
