Howdy! I also just posted this over in the Cloverfield section of the boards... not sure where exactly it was supposed to go.

I just rented the Cloverfield DVD, and it syncs for the first 2 minutes or so, but then the sync is noticeably off from thereafter.

I've tried setting the movie to the chapters shown in the readme file, as well as some of the Disembaudio lines, but I keep getting the same result - 2 minutes or so later, the jokes seem to come in way late, and the movie is about a good 30 seconds or so ahead of the rifftrax.

Is it possible I'm watching an extended version of the movie? Or is there some setting I'm not aware of for the DVD? I've looked all over the box, but nothing that hints at an "extended" or "never before seen" version of the movie...

I'm using the MP3 right now, but I'm going to see if it does the same thing with the .RIFF on the RiffTrax Player (once I manage to get it running...)

Any help would be ever so rocking :)

OmegaR!

Just a quick question, I may not be any help, but

Are you using the Blu-ray disc, or a regular DVD??

(and just so you know, some of the sync lines are a bit off in the read me files sometimes)
I don't think the Blu-ray should be any problem, but I am unsure about that

Nay, senor, just a regular DVD I rented from the local Lackluster...

Kinda weird.

I've never seen the movie before, but it starts out with the crazy government video info all over the screen, and the jokes seem to synch just fine, but right after Kevin says "Am I Blind?", everything seems to get out of whack more and more. The first Dis line is about 8 seconds late, and the next line is almost a full 20 or so seconds late.

As far as I know, there's only one version of this DVD, and it doesn't look like there are any options for "theatrical" or "extended" edition....

FALSE ALARM, I suppose.

It works just fine on the Rifftrax Player, so I have a feeling something's wrong with my home DVD player.

Thank you!
