RVR II

I Love this movie..
From 1981, also known as 'Spaceship', and starring Cindy Williams; 'Shirley' from 'Laverne & Shirley'

It's changed it's cover a few times since then

I will always have the last unicron in my collection. the only thing really bad about this movie, as i explained to mrbasehart, is the horrible duet ballad and mia farrow's singing. But i adore this film! I watched it when i was a little girl, i've read the book, and i will show it to my cats when i live in catopia (ie when i am a cat lady with no children)

i'm sure there are more, but i can't think of them offhand

Since I haven't participated in this thread yet, I'll just throw out the following nuggets of info in response to comments from pages back:

-Someone said we couldn't guess what movie Billy Crystal wasn't good in... did you mean Spinal Tap?

-Last Starfighter was well made, but still pretty bad overall, it's on my guilty pleasure list.

-My movie to add to the scrum: Masters of the Universe.

"We can't really build Eternia."
"How do we save money?"
"We could set the film... on Earth?"
"BRILLIANT!"

And they still ran out of money at the end, and had to film the climactic swordfight on an empty soundstage, hiding the fact with crazy lighting. Hilarious. AND I LOVE ALL OF IT.

masters of the universe. i watched that movie a lot when i was kid.

hey, what about the monster squad. its on sale at target. my mom was like, "who was in that?" and i said "um (checking the credits) nobody"

i remember it being really cool though

Dim of the Yard

Honestly?  Wicker Man remake, and Brothers Grimm.  The latter I had been very, very fond of for quite a while, long before the "Heath Ledger" thing entered into it.

You may commence the shunning.

Yeah, Tideland was a journey into someone's psyche I did not wish to take.

Didn't see Wicker Man, but the original blew, so I can't imagine the remake being good.

I didn't enjoy the original, but Dim's spot on with the remake...this is pretty much all you have to see...

I'll have to check out Brothers Grimm sometime.

My all-time favorite horribly bad movie is Troll 2. Outside of Amelie and Big Trouble in Little China, I haven't had a movie stand this tall after countless viewings. It never gets old for me.

A few others...

Yor, The Hunter From the Future
Street Trash
Howling 2
Hard Ticket to Hawaii

Good times!

The second greatest Swayze actioner:

Next of Kin

Check out the star power that had second billing to the Swayze at his prime.  Helen Hunt, Liam Neeson, Bill Paxton, Ben Stiller AND Michael J. Pollard.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Common answers I know but at least once a year I have to put in Masters of the Universe or Super Mario Bros (or both) and just giggle at the stupidity.
