Chalk me up for the X-Files...I have all of 'em.
And I have all the Simpsons on DVD...including the ones not released to DVD yet  ;)  I purchase the official Simpsons DVD's when they are released and I have all the non-official that I captured myself of the satellite...edited out commercials and authored to DVD.

Okay, okay, okay... we all own boxsets. That's great.
Now, let me veer us back towards the "coolest & craziest" with a few of mine:

The Blind Dead Coffin
Can you ever go wrong with a boxset in the shape of a coffin? I'm pretty sure that you can't. Especially if it features all the original Blind Dead films, plus a disc of extras and a glossy booklet on the history of the series as well. Neat-o! File under "Cool."

The Educational Archives Lunch Box
Old educational shorts are always fun, especially as background video for a party. And it comes with a thermos. Has anyone ever actually used the thermos? I doubt it. The Pee-Chee folder that holds all the booklets is kinda' cool though... gives it that whole, 1950's grade school feel. Other than my own Monkey Head POTA boxset, this is the most awkward collection on my shelf. File under "Crazy."

Dark Waters Amulet
Two disc set of a somewhat obscure, but very cool, Italian horror film. The boxset comes with a stone amulet that features pretty heavily in the film itself. It's set into the packaging, and you can see it through a plastic window... or take it out and hang it on the wall. And it's a pretty big sucker, which means that most people notice it on the shelf and ask... "Why do you have that horrible Jennifer Connelly movie?" Ugh. Anyway, file under "Cool."

Voyager Asian Bootleg
Okay, Voyager sucks... i know this. Which is why i didn't feel like paying hundreds of dollars to catch-up on the series. I never really watched the show while it was on television, so i went searching for an affordable boxset... and this is what i found. It's covered in Chinese writing, though... which i think actually looks pretty cool. The box itself comes inside a nice slipcase, and opens up like a book. But that's where the luxuries stop, because the DVDs are jammed into a cheap plastic CD holder inside. At least they shoved some cardboard in there so the discs don't shift around too much... how nice of them, huh? Well, definitely file this one under "Crazy."

And...you skipped Enterprise but have Voyager? Yikes.

I'd do the same thing, so put THAT in your pipe and smoke it, mister.   :P

Enterprise became awesome after a couple of shaky seasons.  Voyager never got better and remained mediocre throughout.

Tripe

And frankly DS9 was the best of them all so nah-nah-nahnah-nah  :P

RVR II

I might check out Enterprise eventualy, but I just don't feel the urge .. :-\

Don't.  Enterprise was a Star Trek rip off that couldn't get sued because it was made by Paramount - nothing more.

Voyager sucked.  But for all of it's crap, it at least stayed within the history of the previous shows.   Enterprise flushed all that down a toilet and then offered next to nothing to replace it.....except a thinly veiled AIDS inspired story that was decades behind public attitudes.

It's fun, enjoyable, and if you actually WATCH the show instead of making a snap judgment based on internet hearsay, it's got some great stories in S3 and 4.  In particular, "In a Mirror, Darkly" is excellent for fans of TOS.

I did watch it every week....at least until "Christopher Street", maybe later....and reviewed it under the name "Robotrix Zero" for the now defunct website The Facer.net (the guy who did the Annotated Nemesis Script released before the film premiered).  I got paid in free internet access.

I believe I still have the reviews on my old laptop.  If you want, I'll send them to you. You'll see that when they did have a good story idea or approach I gave them credit.  However, I would end up in every case having to point out that whatever was good about the episodes ended up lobotomized by either Berman and Braga or the network. My reviews generally ended up as eulogies for great ideas poisoned by people who were talentless hacks and corporate ass kissers.

Might even have the e-mails that Wil Wheaton sent to me saying that I was more correct about some things behind the scenes than I imagined.....but you'd claim I made that up.

(PS - never saw "In A Mirror, Darkly" because I feel it encapsulates everything that B & B were doing to screw up the franchise....ENT taking aliens, phenomenon, what have you that was supposed to have only first been heard of or seen in TOS and not just encountering it but wallowing in it....to the point that you have to belleve that it's impossible that Kirk and crew could never have known of it.)

Ortega

i liked Enterprise, but i understand it ain't for everyone, but it was loads better than Hepburn in SpaceVoyager.

Best episode: S2 - Progenitor...
