^^ it's a band.

Indeed.  The same band you couldn't stop spouting off about when you were calling yourself googergieger.

Two people can't hear of the same band? Okey dokey artichoke.
Round about now! Since they say! I am the sexiest man in Jamaica!

Anyhoo...

Last night at work:

Level 42 - World Machine

I'm ashamed to say I used to think "The Chant Has Begun" was a great song.

Spoiler

Great power punk album from GG before he started pooping on stage and what not. I wish the album art I posted had the flip side to that image of what he looked like when he recorded this LP. He was kind of doing a David Johansen pout. The lyrics have tinges and bits of what is to come in his career but not as blatant as such hits as "Bite It, You Scum" and "Suck My Ass It Smells"

Cryptopsy - None So Vile

A masterpiece in death/grind. Sadly, the band is content to put out music that appeals to a wider audience these days (in other words, they sold out). However, they still have the first couple albums that kick fucking ass. If you love this album on CD, you HAVE to hear the vinyl version, which I am currently playing. I am going to be ripping all my vinyl once I get everything else off of my hard drive and will be more than glad to let the rest of you hear this beautiful piece of work, complete with pops and clicks.

I'd say Whalberg definately qualifies as really good.

Lights Out Starring Arch Oboler - Prelude To Murder (06-15-43)

That noise is an Old Time Radio play. I love 'em...

Continuing my trend of listening to albums by shitty mainstream artists on vinyl, it's.... Boris' "Pink" album.

Sunn O))) - Oracle

Another vinyl gem from that shitty major label, Southern Lord. If you know this band, you know they play some of the doomiest drone this side of Hell. This EP is a little faster than the rest of their work I've heard and is therefore a little more accessible. The creepy atmosphere is still there, with vocals provided by Attila Csihar of Mayhem fame. I think I'm going to have to play this one at full blast this weekend to see how many miscreants I attract to my door.
