Also picked up the new Coldplay album, but haven't listened to it yet.  Best Buy has it on LP for only $5 more than the CD, and the LP also comes with a CD of the album.  So I picked it up on LP (got the last one!)

It is so odd to hear that Best Buy is stocking LPs.....  I just read an article about some chain of stores in the Pacific Northwest accidentally ordered the new REM album on vinyl and while some stores sent them back a bunch of the stores put them out and they sold like crazy. So now they are going to stock LPs in all their stores that have music.... As I said odd... very cool, but odd.

guess I need to dust off my record/8-track player. It still works, except for the radio.

The new LP should be good if it ever gets released.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

Hank 3 has always been more about the live shows anyway. That whole ordeal with Curb Records turned out to be something of a blessing, ya' know? Allowing him to hook up with Superjoint and Down. Even forcing him to open for himself as Assjack just to let his musical creativity out.

Either way, i'm looking forward to "Damn Right, Rebel Proud" whenever it's finally released!

So the discussion of theatre experiences put me in the mood for something boisterous sounding and so I turned to the suite composed for The Belles of St Trinian's which can be found on this:

I still need to see the recent St Trinian's film.

I am at work, so I can't put up pictures, but I have been listening to the new Coldplay non-stop (that is so cool you could get it on LP).
Except this morning while I was driving to work. I was in a pissy mood and I listened to Appetite for Destruction by G'N'R

I love SMILE, but I prefer the original songs, scattered throughout the Beach Boys catalogue.  Brian just sings like a robot now.  Also, Dennis' Pacific Ocean Blue is being re-released fairly soon I think.

I remember watching Brian Wilson a few years ago on the Tonight Show he looked completely out of it. They had a keyboard set up in front of him which he pressed his hands down on the same keys the whole song then I noticed it wasn't plugged into anything. He had a huge mob of backup singers, and misc. instruments to drown him out. He looked like he had taken enough tranquilizers to stun a horse. It was really depressing. A few years back I downloaded a fan made version of the Beach Boys doing SMILE from bootleg recordings and demos, I prefer it over Brian Wilson's version.

It's so sad that he's still out there "performing" when he really should be home and resting.  He always looks lost and about to pass out.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

He's still performing in the hopes of getting a "Beautiful Ride" moment. Then he can keel over just offstage.

It's on my iPod shuffle, but it hasn't come up yet.  There are only 5-6 CD's on it at any one time, so it should come up soon.
