This was a tough one because I'm in both camps.  I think both of these are grossly overrated.  But I went with PF.  Don't hit.

Tripe

Aww I'd never hit a girl.

Deride her taste in directors sure, hit, never

bratpop

They're both more quotable than yo mama. Can't they BOTH win? I thought Greg was "randomly" picking old movies to go up against new movies.

...

Just watched Pulp Fiction again, and it still feels as fun and fresh as it did back in '94. And that's saying something considering how almost every scene in that film has been lampooned and turned into a cliche over the years. It really doesn't feel dated, and i think it's going to hold up as a great film for many more years to come. I still enjoy the dialogue, the non-linear story elements, the look of both the costumes and the film itself... and yeah, even the "mix-tape" soundtrack.

Office Space is a lot of fun too. But it's more like a generic comedy that did everything right. It's really, really good... but that's about it. And a comedy that's done well easily pleases an audience because people like to laugh. I think comedies have the deck stacked against them though when it comes to being considered a great film. I just don't think the laughs in this movie are enough to push it over the top of a film like Pulp Fiction... not at all.

Pulp Fiction for the win.

No no no I don't just mean the sound tracks, I mean the constituent parts of the films themselves, he doesn't have an original bone in his body.

He's worse that J.K.Rowling  ;)

bratpop

Er, well Office Space is so unoriginal that each and every single thing that happens in it has happened to everybody in the audience, which is why it's so popular. So there. :P

Tripe

I'll say it again:

Oh no it's got nothing to do with my personal opinion of Office Space and everything to do with how utterly and completely  worthless* Hackentino and his crap piles are. ;)

See my response to you argument VoC is that , in this case, I'm not voting on the quality of the film I'm voting for but on the singular lack of merit of the one I'm not voting for.

The match up could be pretty much anything and I'll voter for that instead of Pulp Bleeding Fiction :)

*though I suppose they did get him into Mira Sorvino's knickers for a while so they obviously had some worth to him.

Yeah, i know exactly what you meant. That criticism has been around since the movie came out. Doesn't bother me as i'm watching the film though. It got annoying in Death Proof where they actually discussed the movies they were about to rip off. But Pulp Fiction was fine by me.

Well alright then, just so long as there's no misunderstandings. :)

Goodness, what a tough choice, on the one hand, you have Bruce Willis and Samuel L Jackson, on the other Stephen Root, Pulp Fiction had Kathy Griffin, so that takes away Bruce Willis, so basically it's Samuel L Jackson vs Stephen Root, no idea what to vote for  :-\

KIDS , KIDS THEY CAN BE BOTH THINGS..................... ;D.....I didnt read any of the posts, but do know as a dvd collector.....you lose a MAN card for not havein both of them...............:)

RoninFox

I didn't mind Pulp Fiction, but I've never had the desire to watch it again after the first time.  Office Space is still good after numerous viewings.  Therefore I go for Office Space.
