I'm the same way with Au hasard Balthazar which has some sort of important point behind the suffering of the Donkey, but I can't watch it because Donkeys are one of my favorite animals and seeing them in distress upsets me too much.
Oh well then, you'd hate this movie, because Will Smith also mangles Donkey's lines from Shrek, which is very distressing.

It's not the zombie dogs that piss me off in RE: Umbrella Chronicles.  It's those goddamn jumping around monkeys!

Zombie Monkeys?!

sweet

Baboons, actually. They're called Eliminators. Very hard to kill in RE:0 as well, though like most of the zombies, a head shot will put them down fast.  ;D

Guys/Gals,

I just watched this last night for the first time, un-riffed. And I gotta tell ya...the dog scene wasn't that bad. First off, they don't show the dog getting killed, and second of all, its just acting!!!! Damn it all people...this isn't even based on a true story, so its not like it never even happened!!!!

I'm sorry if you think I'm being heartless, but I can't even relate to how you fell, when the story is fiction. Trust me, the dog that played that part in the movie was treated better then any homeless person on the street in your hometown...and it still is.

You've got to give this RiffTrax a chance.

Wait, what?

I bought the movie, I'm waiting for Tuesday ;D

im  sorry for skipping all five pages (for the most part) and just inserting something at the end that might have been discussed, but what the hell is the deal with people totally cool with watching people in movies getting gruesomely slaughtered but a dog bites it even in a humane fashion and people get all upset?  I mean seriously watching someone REALLY snuff it is HORRIBLE why is it people cant internalize that when watching a movie but a dog gets it and the that bothers everyone.  EXPLAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because we got to know and like the dog.  It always matters more when it's someone, or something, you care about.

Not saying you don't have a point -- I regularly take a pass on slaughterfest films -- but for whatever reason lots of humans are hardwired to love dogs.

I don't agree with that. I agree with the comparison to, say, Saw. I don't want to watch essentially non-horrible characters getting cruelly tortured and killed. What's the point of that? But I didn't feel anything for this dog. After all, it was stupid enough to go running into a dark building after a deer and caused its master to jump out a window, saved only from instant death or painful injury and paralyses by falling on a squishy vampire. Thanks a lot, DOG. And it wouldn't eat its fuckin' vegetables! You deserved it, dog!

Okay, to please those who don't like to see animals in distress, this is how I would have changed I Am Legend:

See that would have been a much better plot development  :)

You could always just acknowledge that the dog dying is bullshit due to the fact that in no event would the vampires have merely bitten dogs to turn into vampire dogs when it's established that they "killed" and "fed" on everyone on the planet. I'm thinking they would have been a little too hungry to bother creating vamp-pets. The whole damn process is never explained anyway. 28 DAYS LATER RUINED MOVIES!

BTW, did they ever explain the 'water pouring' stuff?

He poured water on his front steps and he poured it on his jacket at one point...I watched the movie one and a half times and never figured that part out?

I was HOPING it was holy water when the movie started, but I think that was too much to ask. I mean it's not like crosses and garlic and staking vampires would have been cool. I'll just pretend it was gasoline.

Lemming Howard

Recorded it off on demand.  Saw it coming and fast forwarded it.  Owned two dogs and seen them both die.  I'm not gonna go through that even if it's fake.  I'll buy the rifftrax and maybe do the same.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

I thought it was gas

I got that impression too - that it was part of his protecting his home. He had obviously gone through great lengths to booby trap the outside of his home.
