Is it me or does that little girl from the sample who steals a carton of milk look like The Joker from The Dark Knight?

I was thinking that, too. I also loved the riffs on her horrible acting.

*Phew* Glad I wasn't the only to spot how similar he makeup looks to Heath's Joker. I'm just picturing that girl carving a permanent smile on that lunch lady's face in revenge for scolding her.

Another Great Short, Speaking of Japanese Boys, this Short kept reminding me of the last two episodes of Evangelion, thinking back, I think that Evangelion may have quoted If Mirrors Could Speak quite a few times

Well, not a direct quote, but there were some phrases that were present in both presentations,

I am you, and you are me (or something similar, or maybe I just imagined it...)

Robbie reminded me of Shinji, who makes a 180 at the end,

plus they both shared the whole, borderline insane self introspection situation

Great short once again!  What I want to know is, what ever happened to the original narrator?  You know, the little black kid with the righteous 'fro talking about all the clowns in his class.  Halfway through the short, the evil mirror becomes the narrator.  You can't do that!  You can't switch narrators mid-stream like that!  At least bring the kid back at the end to give it some closure!  Come to think of it, once the mirror is introduced, you never see that kid again.  That's a little creepy all on its own.

FYI, the files have been renamed. Instead of "Self_Image" they are "IfMirrorsCouldSpeak" as should've been in the first place. This should make them easier to find (and in some cases, easier to see that you've already purchased the short). (This is in response to an actual support request we got).

It could just be me, but I thought the voice of the mirror sounded an awful lot like John (the kid narrator at the beginning). So I'm not convinced that they did get rid of John. And you definitely hear him in the voiceover later, as he relates how well non-depressed boy and unselfish girl are doing relative to still-a-clown George.

BTW, to mods and Mike, Kevin, and Bill--please keep making the PD short riffs. These are my absolute favorites out of all of the content on the site.
