I always like your covers.  This one is no exception.

Looks good, I would just recommend making the individual film cells larger so that the images are more the focus rather than the   helix of film.

I agree with BathTub.  Lookin' GREAT, but making the film strip thicker so that the images are bigger would look a tad better.  I can't wait to print it out! ;D  Great job!

Well, I mostly like it (and I have a _lot_ of your other efforts).

But I kinda miss the poster-style art from the RiffTrax website.  Is there any way you could enlarge the frames on the film reel and stick the poster images in them instead?

Also, my printer tends to choke on a lot of black, so a background color that's a little lighter in shade or a different color altogether is more to my taste. But that's just me and my printer.

As always, thanks for the great work!

Good idea!  I like the thought of incorporating the goofy poster art.

Given that this month is RT's "Eat My Shorts" month, I'm quite looking forward to things.  I've liked the shorts best of the RT efforts--reminds me a lot of their old MST3K material, plus I can download 'em with the video included in the commentary--no messy synching needed.

General question, though, addressed in particular to those of you talented folks who have been producing DVD case labels for these shorts--what do you find is the optimum size to stick on a DVD?  I can cram a goodly number of 'em on a disk, but I find that making a case label for it is hard--there's only so much space on the back panel.  Judging by the fan-produced efforts I've seen here, I'm guessing others had the same problem.

What size do you find works best?

so far 8 is the "magical" number of shorts to put on a dvd.
yes you can fit more on a single layer dvd, but then you will run out of room on your case for lettering...unless of course you don't want a write up for each short.

After much deliberation... I decided to make a shorts cover. Thanks goes to the posters who posted the old school photos... it gave me an idea on the cover. I included 10 shorts...

Later, I'll work on an insert for the DVD to give episode descriptions. I thought a description-less cover would be better in this case.
