i get the weirdest spam at my work address. today it was for shower heads. what person or algorithm thought "physicists need new shower heads, i will email them all!"

That's about as bizarre as bizarre gets.

Being blasted with the "contact apple support before using any apple device" scam calls today, 10 of them so far since 1pm, all from different numbers.

For some reason, about 15 years ago, the Spambots all decided my name is Bruce. It is not, and I have no idea where they got the name. I know nobody by that name, and have never used it online. It's nice, though, because I immediately know when I see, "Bruce! You need to verify this Amazon purchase!" that it's a scam.

Assuming they stopped at 9pm I got 15 of those spam calls from 15 different numbers. 

Last time I got that many spam calls in half a day was probably 20 years ago when some very aggressive telemarketer was calling every 20 minutes to get me to change cell phone companies.

I've started getting these automated messages on my phone claiming to be from Apple tech support. The message says someone has hacked my iCloud account (something I never use), and to call them back with the following toll free number 301-***-****.

That is not a toll free number. Toll free numbers always start with 8, followed by two of the same number. This is an obvious scam, but I've been getting these multiple times a day. Also, the fact they called my house phone, instead of either of the actual iPhones associated with this address seems kinda suspicious

Over last 2 weeks I've gotten 80 or so calls with the "your social security number has been suspended, call this number within 24 hours or you will be arrested" scam. All to my work phone and all originated from different likely spoofed numbers.

There's an older fellow on youtube called Wenja92 that calls those numbers and scams the scammers. He's pretty funny
