They even love him in India!
WOOT WOOT!

Sometimes this is what my nightmares look like.  Usually Kirsten Dunst is there too.

EDIT: Oh wait, I think that's her behind him.  Elfin bobblehead creature.

Did anyone catch this in the deleted scenes?

Woops!

Excuse me? Conservative pro-war blogger and long-time Bush-booster James Lileks? "Modern life is scary and confusing and the past is quaint and amusing" Lileks? Long, smug humorless tirades about trivialities peppered with pithy observations, fatherly bathos and rancid stereotypes - that James Lileks?

Christ...

I think I need a shower.

You realize Mike Nelson is right-of-center, right?

Well, he's managed to hide it fairly well (except I remember one comment about "Nancy Pelosi left" where that was supposed to indicate a far left stance, which is like calling mayonnaise spicy). There's being right of center (pretty much a US default attitude, since the Democrats post -1960s or so are about where most right wing parties are in the rest of the Western world), and then there's spewing something like the quote below. James Lileks four years ago:

QuoteLet's just be blunt: The North Koreans would love to see John Kerry win the election. The mullahs of Iran would love it. The Syrian Ba'athists would sigh with relief. Every enemy of America would take great satisfaction if the electorate rejects the Bush doctrine and scuttles back to hide under the U.N. Security Council's table. It's a hard question, but the right one: Which candidate does our enemy want to lose? George W. Bush.

That's either being breathtakingly disingenuous for purposes of pushing your preferred candidate and agenda, having powers of mind reading second to none or being spectacularly clueless. I wouldn't want to associate with either of the three, because if Lileks can read the minds of the terrorists and hasn't helped out in the Waronterra, that's even worse than the other two options.

Okay, Ann Coulter he ain't (he's not that masculine), but still... Naw, that's just a deeply unpleasant turn of events.

Ha! That looks like the edited-for-TV version of Showgirls, where they digitally insert bras into all the scenes.

Looking forward to Lileks, it's always nice and refreshing to go outside the MST3K talent-pool every once in awhile. Haven't heard much from the man myself, but i'll have to add his blog to my bookmarks after Teaflax's ringing endorsement there~

There's nothing in that quote that doesn't make sense... But I don't really want to turn this into a political debate. Suffice it to say that you and I would likely disagree on many things.

On another note... and more on the topic of Spidey... Spider-Man was also spotted in Japan with Kamen Rider.

Fighting Bird-Ninjas... and Skeletor!

The result must not have been very good... we was spotted shortly after returning from the airport in a "pouty" mood.

...or perhaps it was because he lost his powers... AGAIN!
