Just picked up this.

Hey is that Charlie from "it's always Sunny"?

Yes it is. He's more or less the same in the movie, but that's not a bad thing.

well lots of good comedy actors play the same part in every movie. Bob Hope is always Bob Hope,John Cleese is always a slightly insane British guy,and The marx brothers were always The marx Brothers. I will have to check this movie out.

Well he's a little smarter, which isn't hard since Charlie is borderline retarded.  In this movie he plays a dental hygienist being sexually harassed by his dentist boss played by Jennifer Aniston.

I thought WB wanted everyone to buy their movies on Blu-Ray now (stupid lack of DVD special features). Their new movies might as well be illegally downloaded. No point in spending $20 on their cheap crap.

Ok rant over.

Wait, people still buy DVDs? New?
Aren't dvds those things Netflix used to send in the mail?

Until my laptop can play Blu-Ray...yep.

Doctor Who?

The fact that you can buy most Blu Rays with a DvD in the box too can't be helping DvD sales.

Why buy though? Why not rent?

Because I like owning things, I guess. I'd rather own a movie I only watch once or twice than keep renting a move over and over.

Plus, I can never get through all the bonus features in a single rental period. And I'm one of the three remaining people on the planet who don't have Netflix.

I couldn't track down a copy of New Moon to rent when the Riff came out, so I actually bought it.  A little extreme, I know, but I really liked the Riff for Twilight and I didn't want to wait for NetFlix.  Now I've got a copy of New Moon and a lot of shame.  I will never buy a DVD again!

At least you never get buffering problems watching a DVD. Or have to worry about bandwidth caps imposed by your ISP.

Yeah, I just don't really see the advantage of buying DVDs when they're easily rented and not the highest quality available. It's like buying cassettes when you could've had LPs.

Yeah i only buy DvDs of old Tv shows that were shot on video tape or for Rifftrax.  Now if they came up with a version of the Rifftrax player that worked with Blu Rays then I would really be cutting back on my DvDs.  Also besides Doctor Who I don't really buy any DvDs new,why should I when i can find most movies and Tv shows used at Moviestop for a couple of bucks?
