Ok, So RAD gave Joel a set of Fancreated questions whci hhe answered, starting here:

In one of Joel's answers, he states that MST3k still outsells both Rifftrax and CT. My question is, how does he know?

Well Mary Jo would almost certainly know how much her own effort sold.  Also Joel says in one of his answers that he has talked to Mike.  Even if Mike gave no specifics he could easily have said to Joel "Nah, we don't do nearly the kind of volume that MST does."

Thanx for posting that link. And thank God that it was split between the two forums... i can't stand that MST3K board for very long. I feel like i'm going blind after a minute or two of trying to read white on black. Ugh.

Cool Q&A though. Very straightforward answers, and the questions were all over the place. It was nice of Joel to go all out and answer like, forty questions rather than just the 20 he promised.

Thanks for the link, Jag!  I knew Joel and Mike have no riff, har har, rift.  That's exactly what I thought about him not responding to the Rifftrax question.  He is just starting a friendly competing thing (though there is much room for both), and the 'media' made drama out of nothing.

I just thought this was a fun description from Joel of folks we all love...

Frank has an expansive knowledge of show business, he can play sarcastic and naive at almost the same time, and he's a solid writer and good laugher. Mary Jo is what I would call scathingly brilliant-- she's equal parts funny, bright and literate and when you least expect it, she goes dark as pitch. Trace has great comic instincts, is a good designer, is charming as hell, and is very fun to hang around with. Josh will goof off at the drop of a hat, is kind, and is a wickedly funny joke writer to boot. Who could ask for anything more? Oh, here come the love tears.
