So, did anyone else actually go see this?
Because if not, you may want to skip it.
The prediction that it was not a horror movie being sold as one is very, very true. And I kind of liked the direction it was taking for a while.
Then
And it goes downhill from there.

Relaxing Dragon

Oh wow, I never posted in this thread. Weird.

I actually watched this a month or so ago at the San Francisco International Film Festival. Once I accepted that it was nothing like the ads made it out to be, I enjoyed it. Was pretty much a relationship movie about a dysfunctional family, except that one member being a strange and freakish creature (but enough about Adrien Brody :rimshot:)

Space, that scene was odd, but I thought it worked well for the general mood of the movie. Overall I think it's a good film, just very different.

Yeah, I didn't really dig the trailer but I I'm hearing nothing but good things from friends

- how I read any complaint about MST3k (or Star Wars or Ghostbusters)

Bob

Perhaps Netflix then......

:D Apparently someone decided to play around with the Wikipedia page

QuoteSuperstar genetic engineers Clive (Brody) and Elsa (Polley) achieve fame by successfully splicing together the DNA of different animals, to create incredible new hybrids(animals). Now they want to use human DNA in a hybrid that could revolutionize science and medicine. But when the pharmaceutical company that funds their research forbids it, Clive and Elsa secretly conduct their own experiments in the pursuit of even greater scientific discovery. They secretly blend human DNA with their creations, ignoring their society's ethical and legal boundaries.[3]

The scientists name their creature Obama, a creature that exhibits uncommon intelligence and an array of unexpected physical developments. And though, at first, Obama exceeds their wildest dreams as a president, but she begins to grow and learn at an accelerated rate—and threatens to become their worst nightmare. The two must come to terms with their decision as their creature quickly develops into a deadly, winged humanoid monster. Based off the 2008 election.

So apparently this gentically spliced half-human creature has natural high heels:

Must be related to Grendel's mom.

Wasn't there something like this in the live-action version of Aeon Flux?
