The Trailers Thread

[mrbasehart]

I thought it might be a good idea to centralize some of the trailer threads into one, and hopefully get some recognition for the more little known films that are coming out in the next couple of months.  Feel free to add your own or comment on the ones that I've put up.

First up is Charlie Bartlett, a comedy about a trouble maker from private school being thrust into a public one when he gets kicked out.  The trailer looks quite good, and the cast is fine: Hope Davis and Robert Downery Jnr.  And the kid who plays Charlie Bartlett looks just like Kevin Bacon!

Spoiler

It's out in the states in February.

Oh, and in the future, I'll put the links is spoiler tags so you don't have to load all of them just to watch one.

Next is a slightly more mainstream comedy, Leatherheads, starring George Clooney, Renee Zellweger and John Krasinski.  Anyone else getting a Bull Durham vibe from this one?

Spoiler

Out in April.

Finally, here's Forgetting Sarah Marshall, from the guys behind 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up.  It looks pretty great, actually:

Spoiler

It's out May 30th.

Out of those three, I'm probably most interested in Charlie Bartlett. I love the 40-Year Old Virgin/Knocked Up guys, but Forgetting Sarah Marshall looks like it should be starring Dane Cook.

Are you dissing on Dane Cook?!? He's awesome!! He's amazing!! There has never been a stand-up comedian as incapable of being funny as him!! Not since Bob Saget have audiences been lulled into such a mindless stupor, too listless to even commit suicide!

Seriously though, was it just me or does that guy from the Sarah trailer look almost exactly like Judge Reinhold?

I'm going to add a couple of less promising films today, though people still might curious to check out the trailers for them, just to let them know what they're gonna get themselves into

First up is the Paris Hilton starrer, The Hottie and the Nottie:

Spoiler

It's out on the 8th of February.

Next up is Uwe Boll's "comedy" Postal:

Spoiler

There doesn't seem to be a firm release date for this one, apart from "spring 2008".
