I don't need drugs, I just need the realisation that someone thought a straight-to-DVD sequel to Road House would be a good idea, to make the world seem fuzzy and indistinct. I'm melting....

Actually saw a commercial for this turd of a movie on Spike. I guess they're really hurting for something to fill time.

I've never seen Road House 2, but its director, Scott Ziehl, made a great movie, Three Way, based on the 1960s pulp novel Wild To Possess by Gil Brewer. Basically about a kidnapping gone wrong. The only other movie of Ziehl's that I've seen was the made-for-TV movie Earth vs. the Spider, which is not a remake of the Bert I. Gordon shlocker, but, like the rest of Cinemax's "Creature Feature" films (a series of made-for-TV movies sharing the same titles, but not the plots of some of American-International Pictures' 50's monster flicks), it sucks big time. While I can only assume Road House 2 was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, I can also guess that it also sucks (when you have to live up to the movie Road House, you know you've got a turkey on your hands). But based on Three Way only, I think I can say that Scott Ziehl has potential as a director. If I were to give him career advice, I'd suggest he'd take on another pulp novel.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!
