all-knowing wikipedia tells me that batman's first appearance was in the may 1939 issue of detective comics, numbered 27.

Slow down.....what's this wikipedia thing?  You're saying I could have used that instead of asking stupid questions?

The first thing I thought of when seeing that is that there is the missing apostrophy. Grammera would be proud.

But what would Grammara think?

he'd probably wonder why apostrophe is spelled incorrectly. :(

The Apostrophy is an annual award given out to the Best Evangelical Performer of the Year.

[Wish I had the energy to tell the whole story... TONS of really cool parts to it. :(]

John Byrne did a 'sketch' (finished artwork 18x24" hardly deserves the term 'sketch') for me at a convention many years ago.  I'd asked for a picture of Nightcrawler sketching Storm nude, and after a brief pause, he asked, "do you want it serious, or funny?"  When asked what he meant, he said, "well: he could be drawing a stick figure".  So that's what my 18x24" original Byrne X-Men art is of.  ;D

Despite what John Byrne's output may have been subsequently, I'll always like him for the stellar work he did on the Fantastic Four in the 80s.  She-Hulk was hot, not just because she was green, but because she was awesome.

What... is something wrong with the prostitutes' style magazine?
