A long explanation of the tachyon pulse gumball machines and not a single Tom Servo joke because Jim Mallon owns the rights to the character?  Thats not right.

I can't see that as being the problem, just mentioning the name of a fictional character in a parody should be fine legally, as long as Kevin didn't do his Tom Servo voice...  Or they could have said something like "hmm, that looks familiar"...   Guess they don't want any trouble with Mallon, but garsh, they hummed a certain musical line from a certain very bad MST3K movie at the end of the santa short...

Saw it last night and it was hilarious.   The guy playing Dr. Doom was only missing the mustache twirl to make his villian complete.   Sheesh.
