"I'm suppose to meet Colonel Glen Manning up here."

:D
Good nostalgic callback.

Bob

Really outstanding from the beginning until the end.    They seemed to have a good time doing it too.    I gave it a ten.

kodiakthejuggler

SUPERB!!!

This one totally makes up for the extremely mediocre Star Wars 3 Riff!

10 all the way.

9 out of 10.  Well done.

Funniest Rifftrax since Battlefield Earth.

"The riff was hilarious, but I don't ever want to see that terrible movie ever again"- Mom

And that's saying something, considering we've watched Glitter and Battlefield well into the double digits.

10/10

Perhaps you enjoyed Battlefield Earth more because the Rifftrax was funnier than the Transformers one. Since such things are so incredibly subjective, we will never know. I can tell you one thing, even on its worst day and its audience under the influence of drugs, Transformers is far, far better than Battlefield earth.

I could not have survived this movie with my sanity intact without the Riff. Seriously. What a sad, sad film. It could have been SO cool....and Bey just totally  dropped the ball. Rifftrax makes me happy.

I know we can always trust the opinion of somebody who can spell really well. Wouldn't care to admit that you're just another profile made by Galvatrion would you?  ;)

My...this is a first! I'm being confused with somebody else. I haven't made many posts here and am not familiar with Galvatrion. I'm just an old lady nerd who spent her childhood actually reading books, so despite a public (USA) education I can actually spell and use grammar. It's a shocker, I know.

I apologize if I was disrespectful, but his name is spelled Bay, not Bey. An old lady nerd? That's gotta be a first too.

Nebutron

Oops, you're right. It's "Bay". Turkish on the brain, I guess. Don't worry, I wasn't detecting any disrespect.

Old lady nerd? Why not? I was a nerd by the time Star Wars hit the theaters. In '77 (or was it '76?). We don't die, we're just nerdy about things that were outre before most of you were born. Since you have no age listed in your profile I can't rib you about things that were considered "nerdy" when you were in high school. :-D

I'm 44, and I although I didn't wear a pocket protector, I did carry a belt-hung calculator case (they were big and fat back then, calculators) with pencils, first aid kit, and a geological sample testing kit...just in case. I wore wire-rimmed glasses when big tortoiseshell "Preppy" specs were "in", and I wore sweater vests and corduroys. This was the late '70s. I was not fashionable. I watched Star Trek, Space 1999, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Planet of the Apes (TV series), and the 6 Million Dollar Man. I was a hopeless sci-fi geek, and when Star Wars came out I was transported....enraptured. *sigh*

What Lucas has done with the latest three installments in the series should be criminally punishable, imo.

That's my nerd rant, and I'm sticking to it!

A 44 year old female nerd may not be the norm, but in every other aspect I think you'll fit right in.  Welcome.   ;)

I fit in? Uh oh... not sure how I'll cope with that (just kidding).

Anyway, back to the topic at hand: Transformers.   I knew it was going to be fluff, but there's no reason fluff can't be good fluff. I think you know you're in trouble when the slow-mo action sequences are more interesting than the supposedly story arc-advancing "meaningful" dialogue scenes. I read a couple of reviews that complained about the "girlfriend" character, calling her window dressing or obligatory cheesecake, but frankly I thought she ended up better fleshed out than the Shia LeBoef (sp) character. Look, I'm a movie nut, and when I can't even remember the protagonist's name, that's a bad sign.

Of course, this is the director who took easy box office material like the attack on Pearl Harbor and totally bolloxed it up. The ONLY good scene in PH is...the attack on PH. Cuba Gooding Jr. might as well have been in another movie. Why couldn't we have had more of his character (Petty Officer Doris Miller, a real hero)?! There's a cool sub-plot, imo. What is the deal with Bay being incapable of developing an interesting character or relationship. The rest of the movie is a yawn fest, and I really like Kate Beckinsale so how lame is that? I think, and I'm only guessing here, that he was trying to develop an interesting plot line with the Beckinsale/Affleck/Hartnett lurv triangle thing. The whole, "But we though you were DEAD!" thing? Golly, that's never been done anywhere before (don't watch any soap operas and you'll be able to hold on to that notion). Oh, and casting Alex Baldwin as Doolittle? Talk about a slap in the face of his memory. For starters, Doolittle was a short bald guy, and for seconders he was not a raging liberal milquetoast. Sorry to bring politics in to it, but it irks me. Yes, I know we're talking about actors who are playing a part, but I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was annoyed by that casting choice.

This is going to turn into a point by point analysis of PH, so I'll stop...except to gripe about the control room in Hawaii listening to the air raid on Japan. Sorry, long distance "wireless" commo wasn't available yet, idiots! Oh, wait, maybe Bay did his historical research by watching "The Final Countdown" and he figures Doolittle picked up some radio technology from the Nimitz. Yeah, that's it. *sigh*

So, to recap: I loathed Transformers, felt it richly deserved a riff, and the riff made me laugh.
