Whelp. It looks like Hollywood Video's rounds of store closings last year and this didn't work.

Movie Gallery to close all U.S. stores:

(Reuters) - Movie Gallery Inc., which filed for bankruptcy in February with plans to close hundreds of stores, will now shut down the balance of its 2,415 stores, according to the Wall Street Journal.

U.S.

Citing people familiar with the matter, the Journal said that the company, which operates the Hollywood Video chain, will liquidate all of its stores over the next couple of months.

The company employed about 19,100 people when it filed for bankruptcy. According to the online edition of the newspaper, Movie Gallery notified employees on Friday of the added closures.

It is the second largest movie rental chain behind Blockbuster. This is the second bankruptcy filing for the company.

Movie Gallery was not available for comment.

The remaining stores will be closing over the next 8 weeks. Sigh. Stop closing, stores!

Got all of my blu-rays with no problems from hollywood several weeks ago. Guess I was one of the lucky ones on that deal. There have been numerous complaints, the most common being sending the wrong orders to people.

Sorry though Imrahil... if memory serves I got a confirmation, not really positive though.

Over at Amazon, the album Happy Defiance Day, Everyone! by Ted Nugent is a whopping $0.76 to download. That's a 30 song album for a little more than 2 cents a song.

Okay, I'm not a big Nugent fan either, but it's a great deal for less than the cost to download 1 song.

Oh, and the soundtrack to Dirty Dancing is $5 to download this month. I'm certain that certain folks on this site will be pleased.

If it were free it wouldn't be worth the time or the bandwidth.

That's Volume XVI, XVII & XVIII (which gets released next Tuesday). Since the cheapest price right now for Vol XVIII is $40, this is pretty close to "Buy 2 sets, set one free." Plus you get the Servo figure. I know many of us own the prior two volumes, but if you don't this is a great way to pick them up.

Look. Rowsdower, Megaweapon, Tor Johnson  and Santa. How can you go wrong?

I believe that should get you there. Sale ends Friday at midnight
Looks like the free shipping after spending $XX is gone though, and they tend to have expensive shipping.

Cool! Thanks!
