I don't care if the Dawes character comes back at all, and I'd be all for Wayne getting a new girl...as long as we don't have to see her figure out who Bruce really is again.  This had happened every single time in the Batman films since 89 with the exception of Batman and Robin (and really, who cares about that one until it's Riffed).  Vicki Vale, well Alfred lets her into the friggin Batcave.  Selena Kyle, figures it out at the party when they end up quoting eachother.  Dr. Meridian (Not a great doctor, not bad either, kind of a middle doctor) had it revealed by a combination of psychoanalysis and the fact that the bad guys kidnapped her.  Even Mask of the Phantasm, which I agree was an incredible film, had Andi figure it out.  Then Lois Lane figures it out in the Batman/Superman movie.

Every now and then it's nice for a man with a secret identity to keep a damn secret.

YES! THANK YOU!

The most condecending, obvious, frustrating thing about the Bat-movies are the 'girlfriend' characters. The only times it ever freaking works is when they end ep having to beat the crap out of eachother. I don't know if that says more about me than the quality of the movies...

How the hell did I forget all the Godzilla movies.

Galvatrion, you are a gentleman and a scholar. And a bit of a nerd, but still.

Well shucks, mister :D . to be fair, I left a few that I moderately enjoy out of the list due to brain fart, but still- you can't go wrong with the few I listed.

Quote from: RoninFoxLove that movie.  If you notice, it's actually kind of a universal sequel.  There's at least one reference in it to each of the previous incarnations of the Turtles.  If you look at the canister on the trophy wall, there's even a crack strategically places to obscure whether it reads "TCRI" or "TGRI" as both of them were used in different versions of the continuity.  </megageek>

I was actually a little dissappointed when I first saw it, but each time I've watched it has made it better and better. And yeah- being a huge Turtle fan I noted a lot of he neat little homages. Here's hoping the sequel gets off the ground...

I might be going out on a very small, fragile limb here, but it would seem the Dark Knight is shaping up to be a very awesome sequel.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Tripe

I think so too.

Incidentally,  love the new name and avatar Lady D ;)

Why thank you. Just tapping into my inner Goth i guess, though Siobhan Fahey, formerly of Bananarama amd Shakespears Sister, isn't really a Goth herself I believe.

No but she is very cute.

I always liked Marcella's voice.

Oh yes, Marcella is very talented. I wonder if she still makes music. I read that Siobhan has turned mostly to writing music for other artists, like Kylie Minogue.

Oh, and while I'm on a Batman kick here, the duo recorded a song called Catwoman which was to have been on the Batman Returns soundtrack, but ended up on one of their albums instead.

I wonder which one, I don't think it's on Hormonally Yours

I'm very excited to see what they came up with.  The trailer that shows nothing reminded me of what a trailer should always do, and just hearing that little snippet from the Joker at the end actually gave me chills.

It may not be better than the original, but it's a beautiful continuation: Before Sunset.

Raven

There are a lot of good sequels.  Only a few are better than the original.

X-men 2
Terminator 2
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
Christmas Vacation (Barely)

And Devil's Rejects was just as good.

What was Mighty Joe Young a sequel too?

It wasn't a direct sequel, more of a "sequel in spirit" to King Kong, what with everyone from the first two Kong movies working on it.

Um...no.

Kzinistzerg

I have to add Blues Brothers 2000 to the list of spectacular sequels. It was just as awesome as the first, despite lacking John Belushi.
