Yeah, he could be here inside 6 months. Or, just come over for a vacation, and fill out an application to stay while  you're here. That's what I did. :)

Yes, but the shipping would be less to get a friendly RiffTraxian to send it to him in Canada. ;)

I thought they said they were still waiting to see about Canadian downloads.  So it could still be a possibility.

Well, if / when they get their act together regarding downloads of the movies, almost all services that are region specific use GeoIP to determine your location, so all you need to do is find a free anonymizer or rerouter based in the US, and you're good to go.

For the overseas fans send me a pm.  I'd be willing to order and ship them to you.

As long as the anonymizer is a good one. I have seen quite a few that choke on anything but a basic website.

well my hope would be that the website just checks at the point of putting it in the cart, not continuously.

I use several proxies for various activities, and I can download at about 80-90% of my normal speed through several of them. It's just a matter of finding one that works well, and then making sure you don't lose track of the sucker. :)

If it's 10 business days and you bought it on the day it was available does that mean it ships on the 8th of January?

The reason it takes so long is because the manufacturing system consists of a single lite-on 20x dvd burner and one part-time employee.

Zing!

The part-time employee is the company owner's 80 year old grandmother, who still has problems with "right click." You can imagine how she does with DVD burning software... :)

Don't even mention the scroll wheel with center click, that could blow up the computer ya know...

They mention higher than expected demand, I guess the "expected" demand was what?  10?  20?  They probably also need more ink for their disk printer...

I think you mean they need a new Sharpie.

Sharpie?!  Woah there, big spender!  We're dealing with a blue-ink ballpoint they stole from a local bank.
