Well Amazon has a page for the DVD which might point to a forthcomming release.

They have pages for lots of things. Even the Star Wars Special that Lucas has said will never get released has a page.

At this point I am more curious about the delivery of CT offerings than the content.  The only thing I have seen around was the Slashdot piece that said:

They've already got the rights to 12 movies, and will be releasing one a month starting in December for DVD purchase or download.

I wonder how they are going to do it? Are the DVDs going to be downloadable? That is a hell of a lot of bandwidth. Their servers couldn't handle having ONE page linked. Are they going to sell DVDs and the download is going to be a compressed computer file?? That seems more plausible than having full DVDs for downloading.  The wording of the Slashdot article makes it seem (to me0 that you can buy the DVD or you can get some kind of download (avi/mpg/rm).

Well I think Joel said something about wanting this to be ready for Christmas. That might imply that its a physical DVD (so that people could gift it).

Someone mentioned that people have been talking about a showing of Raiders Of The Lost Ark: The Adaptation. Could just be buzz, since i really doubt that would ever be released on DVD in any sort of officially sanctioned manner... even if it were getting riffed.

I'm surprised Trace is riffing again, based on what he said last may:

I don't think it'll be a big movie.  The DVD of the thing is coming out pretty soon after, and if it was Howard the Duck or the Star Wars Holiday Special - I think it's odd way to make your debut on on DVD: Having it ripped apart by the guys of MST3k.  I'm thinking some random piece of Sci-Fi rubbish, which is fine by me.
