You know, a nicely worded rejection letter that informs me that they wish they had a second position that i could be given and that I was a massively qualified candidate, does surprisingly little to mollify the disappointment that comes with losing out to the husband of a member of the selection committee. :(

That's unfortunate.  Though, it seems like quite a few companies have rules against hiring family members.

Not a company really more an Arts Foundation/Institution/Club, sort of thing.

How is that I am JUST NOW TONIGHT discovering the whole deal with Gorillaz? This is so freaking awesome, I'm pissed that I didn't know this was going on!

Sorry to hear about that. I myself labor under the understanding that there is, in all likelihood, no word in Telugu for "nepotism."

My East Indian boss asked me last night what "Freaky" meant.  Evidently one of the workers told him something was Freaky and he called later to ask me.

And he asked for me when he called, makes me feel good in a way, he must like me.  Really, really like me.

Stupid is the natrual state of human biengs, its up to the individual to pick themselves up and rise from the stupidity.

Okay, I'll rephrase that.

I don't understand why individuals can't just pick themselves up and rise from the stupidity.

Yup, basic thermodynamics at work, NOT learning requires less energy.

And it's also a lower energy state to be NOT thinking about any future return on investment in learning.

So really, people trying to better themselves are just unnatural freaks, going against the laws of nature.  ;D
