Ok, this is going sound like a really weird and pointless and probably slightly scary thread but, now i got the chance theres something i want to share with Mike Nelson and the rest here at Rifftrax, seeing as he does occasionally visit here.

Mike, i know you've probably always asked yourself this; is there anybody in this world crazy enough to permentatly ink my likeness on their body?

Well i have your answer...

I know your probably creeped a little (at least its in the spirit of Halloween) but at least its just your silohuette and now a full on face shot tattooed on my thigh  ;D

I just wanted to share my art with you and the rest of the folks here and im hoping one of the mods will show Mike as i'd like to know what he thinks of the creepy fanboy with a MST3K tattoo on him

So... what do ya think sirs?

A woman who used to come into my video store back in 94-95 had the SOL and planet logo tattooed on her shoulder.  I seriously think about getting a MST3K tat of the bots. With Gypsy I am going to have her tubing run all over the place.

that's awesome!

but your thread may be misguided my friend. Because that's not an image of Mike you have on your body....  it's Joel!

I don't think anyone will think thats so strange.  People get tattoos for a million reasons, in your case its obviously an homage to something you enjoy.  Its no different than any other tattoo someone might get based on previously existing art, so I think its pretty darn cool.

I read and write Chinese and you should see some of the tattoos people get when they don't know what the characters mean, now those can be embarrasing.

I have head of this phenomenon, I'm not quite sure why someone would just blatantly trust someone who is (in most cases) not of Chinese education, or descent, or whatever - basically who doesn't know Chinese! - and have them tattoo a word on their skin. What you speak of is something I have heard happen quite often, if you can believe that.

As far as MST3K tattoos - we mentioned to Kevin that a woman had gotten Tom Servo on her arm. Not wholly unique but a nice idea for a tattoo nonetheless.

Just make sure if you know any women that want to get the word "chicken" in tattoo form, such as the year of the chicken etc., inform them it is slang for prostitute in Hong Kong and I believe throughout most of China as well.  You wouldn't believe how common that one is.  Some people just get absolute gibberish tattoed on them.

I know someone who was talking about how awesome his new tattoo that said "power" in chinese was, it actually meant "life."  He wasn't very happy.

I have heard of tattoos that meant something much worse... in college I had a friend who was fluent in Chinese as well and he told me some stories... ohhh boy.

If anyone has a tattoo in Chinese and wants to double check the meaning please post it, I'm pretty fluent.

I have a Bobo tattoo on my popo. ;)

I wonder if someone, somewhere has a Bobo tattoo.  There has to be.  That, I might actually laugh at.

To be fair, some people in asian cultures just trust that others know what makes sense in English too...

(I did it! I put a pic in my post! :^))

Mike's silhouette is pointing as though commenting on something...  Are Mike and the bots riffing about something on your shoulder, your head, or something happening just above you?  ;)

You could stick on little speech balloons, once in a while.
