If they stopped that slow motion crap, the movie would have been half as long.

Saw the first one with Rifftrax... and that's the ONLY way that I'm gonna watch this one!

Same here. I don't know if I could watch this movie without a running commentary. At least Mike and whoever he gets to be his sidekicks could make it funny unlike the alleged "comedy" in this movie.

Got a tough question for you guys. What character(s) offend you more: Skids and Mudflap in Transformers 2 or Ziro the Hutt from Clone Wars?
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

Note that I edited my post -- I withdrew my insult directed at the people that paid money to see this... I realize that there's countless reasons why people went to see it (i.e. my girlfriend forced me), so I can't fault you.

So now that we know michael bay is fixated with male genitalia and bathroom jokes... anyone wondering what he'll do in the third one? I think we should all be very afraid. Somebody needs to stop this man!

What bothers me the most is that, from the interviews that I've seen and articles that I've read, Michael Bay is a really smart guy and hopefully he'll do something special someday... I'll continue to keep hope alive.

Why should he?  These are makng money and they suck. People are going back to see it more than once. Only thing that makes me have hope was a report that the Sunday numbers last weekend took a big dip (word got out, maybe?).

I kept hoping that after Brian DePalma got rich ripping off Hichcock and making gore films he'd go back to doing the quirky and clever stuff he used to do like Sisters, Get To Know Your Rabbit or Phantom of the Paradise. But it was not to be.

I know he's doing a remake of PotP - I'm not hopeful.

I'm just trying to figure out if Michael Bay has such a degree of intelligence, why does he continue to make dumb movies? Is this because he knows that people will see some of his movies because of people telling their friends or critics saying how ludicrous it is? If this is the case, he's a modern day P.T. Barnum who knows that absurdity is like the honey that attracts flies. I guess the promise of a cheesy movie is too much for some people to ignore, right?

You know, this is just pure fantasy I know, but I'd actually love to see Bay direct a movie with Oscar caliber written all over it, even if he uses a false name for the directing credits initially. Wouldn't it be the biggest shock for everyone to find out that the biggest Oscar winning movie was directed by Michael Bay after the fact?

Some people may have said this about Roger Corman at one point.

Certainly had an eye for hiring talent (Coppola, Scorsese, Bogdonovich, Jonathan Demme, John Sayles Jack Nicholson, Robert Vaughn, James Cameron, Gale Anne Hurd, Ron Howard (to direct), James Horner, Joe Dante, to name a few) but....

Only film he ever made that lost money was the one time he went for serious content (The Intruder).

Found this online: "Corman once offered a word of advice to would-be directors: 'In science-fiction films the monster should always be bigger than the leading lady.'")

Well, like I said, Bay would have to disguise the fact he's directing a serious, Oscar worthy film. I know considering his clout that would be pretty hard though, unless he had people signing Non-disclosure contracts and he moved the production to a foreign country who just wouldn't care he was directing anything. But my scenario is that the movie is widely embraced by critics and movie goers alike, wins a ton of Oscars not in a technical arena but in the main categories, mind you all the time nobody having a clue Bay directed it, and it being revealed after all the accolades and awards that Bay was in fact the director. Wouldn't it be a giddily entertaining shock to all that such a well executed movie was helmed by a director everyone considers a hack?

At the risk of sounding like a broken record....try watching this (NSFW because of the racial slurs).  Someone actually found a way to post it in one piece...

Thanks a lot for the link. I'll have to watch it when i get some Free Time though. I'm reading the IMDB page for it and it sounds like one hell of a movie.
