Dude, Feeders!  I'd love to see those!

The DVD I was ONCE embarrassed to own was Making Contact.  I remember it because of the creepy ventriloquist puppet.  Then I bought and watched the whole movie.  I then realized why Roland Emmerich is such a one-note hack.  I got rid of it and didn't look back.

I would say Batman & Robin, but I think everybody got that with their DVD players, too (along with Stepmom, Lost in Space, and a few other movies nobody in their right mind would buy).  No, it would have be something I bought that I now regret...

Maybe a tie between Jingle All the Way and The Ice Pirates.  Jingle All the Way is terrible, but Phil Hartman can play an awesome sleaze.  The Ice Pirates is so 80s that it's hard to tell if it's a good 'bad movie' or a really bad 'bad movie.'

EDIT: As for DVD collection, I honestly don't know: I remember getting up into the 300s, I think, before I started crying thinking of all the money I spent.  And now I'm replacing the damn things on Blu-Ray!  Somebody help me!  ;)

Ice Pirates!  I saw it in the theater when I was a kid... While it is probably tame by the standards of modern spoofs, it was one of those movies that even as a ten year old, I was wondering what the hell my parents were thinking by having the kids tag along. I don't think I've seen the movie in it's entirety since that day almost 25 years ago... I remember that their were sex  jokes that weren't totally going over my head, but I didn't quite fully understand them either. Even if I didn't really get the innuendo, I was relishing the cool sensation of  "I really shouldn't be seeing this but I can't look away"... Sorta like when you were in 5th grade and finally stumbled upon those Penthouse mags that dad hid in the garage.

God I want to punch Ice Pirates in the face. I remember enough to know I don't ever want to see it again, but just what the hell was it about?

Ice Pirates is sort of like Seinfeld...it's a movie about nothing.

Actually, though, Robert Urich leads a group of pirates (including pre-Beauty and the Beast Ron Perlman) on their quest to make sure the evil Templars don't keep water, the only really precious commodity left in the universe, from holding a monopoly on the stuff.  But that takes a backseat to their other wacky adventures, including entering a time rift in one of the weirdest moments of time travel history, cutting people's heads off in bars, meeting Bruce Villanch in a world populated by unicorns, almost becoming eunuchs, killing the Space Herpe, running over people in a car with a Skull pasted to the front of it, and, I'm not kidding, running into a robot pimp that says 'Titties.'  Yes, this IS a real movie, and it was rated PG.  Granted, it came out before PG-13 existed, but still...

I'm planning on an iRiff for this after I finish Mortal Kombat.  I was going to do it before, but I had to stop when I came to the robot pimp.  I just couldn't think of anything crazier than that for the time being.

That might make it worth another look.

But I'll admit that I saw this as a (ahem) younger person.  You didn't mention that the female lead was Mary Catherine Crosby - Bing's daughter.  Notice the word "acting" never entered my description.

THE QUEEN!!!

I have to COUNT my DVDs? ::groan:: ok, give me a sec. I'll have to post that later.

The DVD I'm embarrassed to Own:
Pirates 2. it was a gift from someone who knew I had Pirates 1 and didn't know how bad Pirates 2 really was. My one consolation is sometime there will be a rifftrax of pirates 2, so that can be my excuse. I should really just sell it.

And going along with something someone else has said;

The DVD I should be embarrassed to own but I'm not:
Chipmunk Adventure. A childhood favorite, still have it memorized. So cheezy but so much fun, and so 80s.

THE QUEEN!!!

Ok I counted: 206. But I have a few out on loan and I'm not sure how many. And 43 of those are seasons/volumes of TV shows, so they have multiple DVDs in them. ANd it doesn't count all the shows I've directed/done that I have on DVD. only commercial. But I didn't realize I had so many. phew!!

Axnollouse

I have about 500 dvds or so. But the movie I am ashamed of owning . . . . . Battlefield Earth.

I got it as a gag gift before I knew of rifftrax and I love the book so I watched it. Then threw it in the attic and only took it out when I learned about Rifftrax. Now I have it in my collection with pride!

MC Crosby gave me a funny feeling down there.

I was a kid then too -- and thought she was sexy, in that Karen Black kinda way.  ("I can't tell if she's sexy in a creepy way or creepy in a sexy way!")

Also (spoiler alert) she shot J.R. . . .  He had it coming.

Well I'd be embarrassed to own a few like Kung Fu Hustle, Saw II, and the Fifth Element, except for Rifftrax reasons, but to each his own. Thank you for single handedly bailing out the film industry with all your purchases.

Assuming these are all purchases and not downloads and/or rips of rentals.   ;)
