I was mistaken earlier.  I figured that it would be as simple as switching the audio stream while watching the DVD, but at least with Reefer Madness it doesn't work.  After looking at the untouched, unrestored Reefer Madness, I don't know why anyone would want to watch that version instead of the restored version with color.  They obviously put a lot of hard work into restoring it.

I never bothered with the B&W version of Reefer since it didn't have the Mike track. So they didn't restore it like the other ones? That is a shame.

I never thought about just hitting the "audio" button.. :)

Seems so simple in retrospect..

Turns out my keys were in the last place I looked as well.

I would be amazed if Shout Factory! didn't want new DVDs.  Aren't they some of the best selling titles they've released?

I asked about more Film Crew DVDs in the "Ask Mike" forum.   I really hope they decide to make some more.  RiffTrax is nice, but I prefer the MST3K style of the FilmCrew DVDs.

Hollywood After Dark is my favorite.  It gives a "No," answer to question, "Did Rue McClanahan ever look young?"

I would love to see more Film Crew DVDs, but we have to realize that Mike & Co. would have to take a break from Rifftrax to write, record, and film the new episodes.  I don't know if he wants to lose any momentum he has going with this RiffTrax endeavor.

Chaos

I'm pretty sure I heard BathTub say that there won't be any more Film Crew releases - those 4 were the only ones that were done, before RiffTrax got going. There are no more in production (at least, as of right now).

What's up with that?

That is what was said. There was another post from Torgospizza that gave the whole story about how those had been in the can for a long time. Later that same day Torgos' post disappeared and there was a post from a "Bob Honcho" who said if they sell well there would be more. As far as I know he  has never posted again since any of the titles have been released.

...

I think the fact that Rifftrax has been pretty successful, and that they've managed to streamline the whole process actually makes it much more likely that there could be more Film Crew releases in the future. The guys at Rifftrax have the writing and recording down pretty well, and could easily work in a new Film Crew release.

The biggest problem would be the production costs. Sorting out the film rights, manufacturing and distribution costs, studio rental, set design, editing and DVD authoring, etc...

Of course, they obviously worked all that out once before. So i guess the main factor is money. Did the Film Crew releases earn enough money to make it worth all the time and effort it would take, when they could easily continue to do Rifftrax?

It would be more than a month or two.

BathTub

Guess it sort of depends how much they did at once.
