I've never heard the rovers referred to like that.  I think it's much more likely that the Rock and Roll Martian they were thinking of is from the MST3K Episode Merlins Shop of Mystical Wonders.

I decided the new title was more fitting, but that does mean that the old poster is now a collectors item and has more than tripled in price!

Not sure what Episode II is going to be called for sure, but I'm thinking of "Attack of the Console Upgrade" since the Star Fox 2 game was scrapped right before completion because of the switch to N64.
