Pak-Man

Well after some testing, it looks like it wasn't the computer at all, but something wonky with the MST3K K05 file itself. We'll just have to get this one from a different source.

Incidentally, if anyone out there in DAPland has the torrent for K05, it'd be neat if you could seed it. :^)

Well, I've built 3 more computers (basic models only) this time for the wife's family in Mexico, and sent 2 of them there by USPS Global Express Guaranteed, and they've been held up in Mexico City customs for almost a week now..

Turns out they don't allow Anything in made in China cause it's crippling there economy much worse than ours, so being that  these computers parts were pretty much made Entirely in China (even though I labeled them as 'USED' because the parts are very outdated), it takes an 'Act of God' almost to get them through their customs and delivered.

I'll know either today or tomorrow if they made it safely and Undamaged :scared:

Global Express comes with insurance too.

100$ for free, and then you can pay for up to $2499 of insurance too.

My Mac that I sold to a guy in England was in customs for over a week as well.  I never got the specifics on why though.
On timeout

Oh yeah.. I had $1000 of insurance on this box, so if for some reason it didn't make it to it's destination, I was gonna file an insurance claim by next week.

Actually, it had been transfered to FedEx international and they assigned it a FedEx # which I didn't get till yesterday, and had to forward that # to my wife so she could contact customs about it.

Axnollouse

this is my current case I am using

I don't have an up to date picture of the completed compy but its good times.  I have pics of the computer and my 3 monitor setup

A friend of mine that has a recording studio, he just purchased this Huge Mac desktop computer; completely built from the factory that weighed at least 45-50 pounds still in the box.

He's using 'Final Cut Pro' software on his beast!

I forgot to post some new pics of my 'Borg5' computer from a couple months back..
I upgraded the case to a clear-acrylic style purchased from FrozenCPU..

Same guts as before, just more 'flare' 8)

My old lexmark printer is not wanting to connect to my computer due to any number of issues (not least of which is WIndows Vista, I suspect), and I have a relatively crappy flatbed scanner that also likes to crap out in mid-scan and usually leaves lines (looks like a lawn after it's been mowed...).

So, I'm considering getting an all-in-one that would allow me to print directly onto discs. I have a lightscribe drive, but I'm not terribly impressed with the lasting-power of the images (I've had some less than 6 months that are starting to simply fade away), and I don't love the monochrome scheme either.

For the "all-in-one," I don't give a rat's ass about instant-photo-printing, or whether it has a card reader (who the hell takes the cards out of their cameras?).  I'd like a good scanner that can handle OCR and images equally well, and I'd like to be able to print regular documents in b/w and color images onto discs.

I think the Epson R-series looks promising, but I don't really want to pay more than about $125.  So--recommendations? Thoughts? Caveats?
All-in-Wonders are not compatable with Vista (to my knowledge)
I use Visioneer 7100 & 7300 flat bed scanners, and Lexmark Z715 printers..

What, like at all?

If you're talking about the ATI All-In-Wonders, then yeah..
They're not compatable with Vista at all, but again, that's what I heard or read somewhere..

There's Probably something about this on ATI's website at ATI.com  :-\
