Just wanted to leave a quick thanks to you guys for riffing this movie for me when I requested it months ago. Battlefield Earth is one of the funniest movies ever, and the rifftrax made it even more fun.

You know, I've been having these weird dreams that all of you and the bots have been hanging out in this otherworld dimension below me. The scary thing is the bots aren't puppets in this other reality but sentient entities all their own. Joel is hanging out down there, too. So is Big Bird, the Teletubbies, and the characters of Finding Nemo.

Wouldn't Battlefireld Earth make a great MST3K Movie2?

It wasn't done JUST for you. It was for the fans. And for therapy...I think it was Bill's 4th Step.

Just kidding. Glad you enjoyed it.

This was my first RiffTraxx.  This was freakin awesome!

Favorite bits:

The whole John Travolta would get "schooled in a fight with Studs Terkel" thing.

I'm still chuckling today about "the army spends half its budget on stenciling and stenciling -related expenses."  I don't think I'll ever see stenciled letters again without contemplating stenciling-related expenses.

All the references to Travolta past projects such as Perfect, Stayin Alive, Welcome Back Kotter, Swordfish, Faceoff. and of course Pulp Fiction..)

All the references to hairy bands: Creedence, Nickleback, Marshall Tucker Band, (http://www.countrystarsonline.com/images/artists/2006/MarshallTuckerBand_350.JPG), Allman Brothers.

"I miss Rock.  Me too."

"And all that was left was a cloud of artificial grape flavoring."

Mike's long rant about the improbability of the cavemen defeating the aliens in air combat and the whole thing about the "hot" ape in Planet of the Apes reminded me of the good ol' days of MST3K.

The amazing thing was that I had actually watched Battlefield Earth long ago with a group of friends, expressly to mock it, but obviously we were mere amateurs.  Better than expected.  I definitely will be back for more.

This one is still my favorite cuz I really hate this movie.  It pains me that great movie ideas are turned down everyday so that movies like this can be made.  But now there is a happy ending.  The movie now has meaning, and the world is right again.  Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!
