It's the rifftrax for 300 -- it stinks!

As a long-time MST3K fan, and first time rifftrax purchaser, I couldn't be more disappointed with the commentary track.

Before I give up on this concept, what commentaries are considered to be the best?

Opinions vary.. 
I Prefer the Sci Fi's myself (Star Wars, Star Treks, etc..),
Terminator 3, Casino Royale, Bourne Identity were Great Action Rifftrax's.
Independence Day Rifftrax will be released tomorrow, and I've heard That One will be Pretty Good!!

You can't possibly call yourself a MST3K fan and give up on the concept of Rifftrax!!  :-

It's just not possible. True, some trax aren't as good as others, but don't let one "dissapointment" ruin the glory that is Rifftrax!!!

I suggest Roadhouse for the solo-Mike effort, Star Trek V for the Mike/Kevin track, and Battlefield Earth for the Mike/Kevin/Bill conglomeration.


Don't give up on us!!! Stick with it!!!! Do it for MIKE NELSON, BILL CORBETT, KEVIN MURPHY, and ALL THAT IS HOLY!!!!!!!!!!!

I Haven't seen one.. There may be a Vote Tally thread somewhere.. but again, opinions vary

well any Rank-A-Riff thread will show you that everybody has different opinions, I hated Episode 1 but many people list it as a favourite.

Yeah there have been list your top 5 rifftrax threads and so on but the quickest one I could think of offhand is this one

The catalogue page has a rating for each Rifftrax. In fact, you can have them all listed by User Rating... and, as of right now, Roadhouse seems to be the number one. Go check it out, and try another Rifftrax. And while you're there, go ahead and vote for 300 and give it whatever rating you think it deserves!

From the commentaries on Rifftrax that I've seen off of these  boards, the best liked ones have been "Wonka" and "Daredevil". "Battlefield Earth" get mentioned a bit as well, but that movie was painful, even with the riffing.

Personally, I really liked xXx and The Grudge too.

This is definitely the weakest Rifftrax, give another a try... you can't go wrong on any of those

I totally agree, this was terrible.  Read my comment on the "rate a riff" thread. Mike knows what is funny.....he must obviously have seen this was going nowhere good or funny....he should have scrapped it because it was painful to listen to.

It's good that Rifftrax is willing to take risks and try all sorts of genres from TV series to Chick Flicks.  This is good.  Like you, there are rifftrax I will never watch again because either the show being riffed was so offensive to my tastes that I couldn't watch it or the jokes weren't that funny (Too many old man fart jokes in Generations comes to mind).  At least you are not unmoved. 

Again one person's favorite is another's worst stinker.  Nothing abnormal about that.

lol, I think 300 is one of the best.

The only ones I really didnt like, and I know I'm not alone, but again to each their own........grey's anatomy and lost. grey's anatomy isnt watchable and lost made me want to watch the other 500 or so episodes, but I didnt give in.
