I'm within the law then, i swear they manipulated my college ID photo.. I smiled the whole freaking time I was in front of that blue paper, and it came out with my face looking like an angry basketball..

Well, my brother's passport managed to have a picture of him looking pissed off and bored, so he has no trouble looking like his passport at airports.

Chaos

Ok, I'll throw in.

I actually have quite a lot of screen names, because I used to play a lot of MMORPGs. Unfortunately, my names are so wicked badass, unless I am a beta tester for the game, some other jackass always steals my name, and I have to pick a new one.

Originally, I went by ArchAngel, but I just can't ever get that name for games anymore, so I switched to my original screen name here, which was ossuary. An ossuary is any type of chest, container, building, well, or other structure used to serve as the final resting place for human skeletal remains. I chose it because it sounds cool, it's not a commonly used name, and it relates to the studies of ancient history and mythology I did during my time at college.

My current name (ChaosFromOrder) , which is pretty much the one I intend to stick with, is a slight alteration of one of my original screen names, from way way back in the ancient days of the Internet, which I was a MUDder. I went by Chaos then, because there were not enough people on the internet to have to actually worry about running out of names (now, again, Chaos is far too common to have any hope of getting it for a large-scale game).

The reason I chose to go with Chaos, and now ChaosFromOrder, is because it quite expertly describes the unruly whirlwind that is my life. Things... have a tendency to get rough around the edges for me, and they always have. Weird stuff goes wrong for no apparent reason. Things that seem perfectly normal suddenly develop a strange or random problem. If I buy a puzzle, it WILL be missing a piece. I can't buy pre-fab furniture from IKEA, because my box will be missing the assembly instructions. There is always, somehow, a book lost underneath my couch that I haven't seen for 5 months. My life is a study of the complexities of Murphy's Law, and of the multitude of ways that chaos can arise from seemingly orderly patterns (which is a bastardization of the philosophical stance that patterns of order can be found in even the most chaotic of systems). It really just suits me so well, I had no choice BUT to take the name back again, after all these years.

Sooo... Those Financial issues we briefly discussed in another thread..
Any Chaotic coincidence there as well?? :scared:

Kzinistzerg

Well, I might as well throw mine in. Kzin are a fictional anthropomorphic tiger alien species from Larry Niven's Known Space universe. In that universe, there's a Kzinti religion called kdaptist which preaches that human religion is right. So I changed it to Kzinist because I always figured the Kzinti should ultimately win. Zerg are a race pretty much blatantly ripped fro the Aliens, but they're from Starcraft, my favorite game, ever. Other places have Morbuzakh tacked on the end (except for one place where i misspelled it and got stuck, ugh), which is a kind of sentient viney spiny gigantic evil planty thing from Bionicle.

So that's the origin of the words. But it goes further than that- basically it represents my crazy mix of interests. I mean, how many other people love Battletech, Legos, Known Space, MST3k and Starcraft? Not TOO many, sine most people haven't heard of either battletech or Known Space.

Junkyard

Well, I did read Ringworld, which I believe had one of those cat-aliens.

Always.

My basement flooded, costing the condo corporation about $8,000 in property damage, and me about $2,000 in possessions damage (including the destruction of my computer) because a 20 cent binding ring broke off the pressure guage on my water pump. And it wasn't due to lack of maintenance, either, because I check all the fittings and stuff around my water pipes and heating oil tank at least every other week (and had actually tightened the exact binding ring that broke only 3 or 4 days before).

AmandaGal

My real name is Amanda and Gal are the first 3 letters in my last name.  Real creative.

I go by "Vixen" most other places, but I figured on a mst3k board, that'd be a little pathetic and kind of like I was saying "hit on me. I bes the hot."   It's a little pathetic anyway but I was like 13 when I first chose it, gees, and on a mostly male board it's a LOT pathetic.  .  . It was only after I registered that I realized it looks as if I'm pointing out "I'm a chick" very boldly.  Like, "Amanda doesn't give it away enough so I have to add that I'm a gal to it."

Hey, I explained it.

RoninFox

Well the Ronin part is because I've always liked stories about Samurai, and I've always been a bit of a loner.  Being a masterless Samurai might not be as honorable, but it fits me better since I hate taking orders.  The fox part, well fox is my favorite animal, eventually I found out it was my totem (for those of you that believe such things).  Also I have bright red hair, it's long and often pulled back, and I'm usually sporting a thick beard.  So I have a furry face and a red tail.

I go by RoninFox or some variation of it most places online.  Now and then someone else actually has it and I go with AidenFox or something.  Aiden is a Celtic name meaning "firey."

Back in the day (a wednesday) I went by numerous variations of Crow.  i.e. Croooow, Croooooow, and Krow.  I don't have to bother explaining those here.
