it just wasn't enough to justify it, man. Grimm could have just adjusted his hand's position a bit, and it probably would have done it.
But you ARE basically right.

Cool! It looks like the blurb is up.

QuoteIt goes the extra mile by providing THREE (3) fantastic characters (plus a bonus character who's not so much fantastic as he is a fantastic irritant, in the spirit of battery acid on the skin or airplane glue in the eyes.)

I assume the less-than-fantastic fourth here is the Human Torture... I mean Torch.

I imagine there'll be plenty of "Flame on!" jokes forthcoming.

I've gotten airplane glue in the eyes before. It dosen't irritate as much as you might think.

Her charicter has always been drawn to lost souls.

... and jerks. So it's pretty consistent with her charicter, I think. Course, they carfully avoided the "artist" part of her charicter.
Alicia's work as a sculptor does come up in the extra 20 minutes of the extended version.  There's even an inside joke for comic fans when Ben notices some puppets hanging on the wall and asks about them.   Alicia says they belong to her step-father, whom long time fans would know is the villain called the Puppet Master.   Maybe he'll show up in a later sequel.
While she's prominent in the sequel, she does miss out on her role in the original comic book "Galactus" storyline.    If her artistic side had been better defined in the theatrical cut, the audience would better be able to realize that it takes a blind woman to sense Ben's inner strength of character.

Yeah, it's too bad they couldn't fit Alicia's part in the original comic into the film. I admit it couldn't have worked without rewriting the entire movie.
