I'm all for them riffing Two Towers, but why riff the extended cut? Is there some riffable scene in the extended version that's worth them having to sit and talk through another hour or so of footage?

being that they split the rifftrax into two parts anyway the extended comes on 2 dvds its the logical choice to me plus the extended is alot better than the theatrical

Although I do own the Extended DVDs I usually prefer to watch the theatrical ones because they're shorter (the main reason I bought the extended versions was to listen to the Peter Jackson commentary) Riffing the extendeds will probably only appeal to a small number of Rifftrax fans

Maybe they're just building up a back-log of movies so that they can stay ahead of the burgeoning demands of the Rifftrax consumer and always have a movie ready to go.

I'm not getting excited about strange guest riffers or the delay being just because of a really long movie, and I really don't care about another animation thing like the roadhouse rumble one.  I'm just here for the trax and all of the other stuff is a nice add on, but I can pretty much take them or leave them.

Hah... Seconded.

They have been going at a pretty breakneck pace for the majority of their first year. I know Torgos said that they're busy... and I'm sure they are... but I would hope Mike gets some downtime in here at some point. Recharge the batteries, drink a beer, put those recharged batteries into the digital camera, take some self-portrait pictures in the mirror for his myspace profile, maybe have another beer, download the pictures to his PC, maybe get some chips and salsa going, recharge those batteries again, etc.
