This one looks like it's gonna be fun... The movie looks everybit as awful as I had imagined and Mary Jo is in great form on the preview clip... I'm geeked for this release. I gotta some good "Crossroads" vibes going here....

Mary Jo Pehl's "And your personal irritant was so awesome.  She did good stuff before but now it's great to see her thing for a whole film.  I hope to hear more of her.  I'm lucky I'm staying in Japan.  I don't have to explain my crappy rental choices (though finding the movies is harder).

Awesome to hear Mary Jo again, from the preview. 

But I dunno...Glitter...I don't know if I can bring myself to watch it.  I suppose it'd be something along the lines of the proverbial "train wreck you can't look away from", but IMO, it's more like jumping in front of said train.

Nah, I'm with you there.  There are very few chick flicks that don't make me either fall asleep or roll my eyes endlessly.  Unfortunately, some of those in that category just make me hurt, Glitter being the pbvious example.

I just wish I could find the DVD to buy!!  None of the used stores have it. Best Buy doesn't have it. Target doesn't have it.  I may have to join a video store for the first time in 5 years....

Mary Jo brings joy. I adore Pehl, woo. But, yes, Glitter is a nightmare. It is horror. DEEP HURTING. Christ, it's almost as bad as SANDSTORM! For those who don't know...Hercules Against The Moonmen. It was ep. 410. There is a very, very long, incredibly pointless sandstorm scene. It is painful. So very painful. Glitter is like that, stretched out as a vanity flick for an untalented, weird looking bitty (I don't find her in the least attractive, she looks just plain odd to me).

Wow....I'm totally torn. I know this one would be rifftastic, but I don't know how to justify the rental or *GASP* purchase of Glitter. I felt I had to explain myself at my local blockbuster when I rented Roadhouse.
