What Summer Blockbuster do you think will "Win?"

I'm still waiting to see what happens with Harry Potter 5.  they do seem to get better and better with each one.  And Fuzzy i dont think that anyone that had read a book and then its made into a movie has been fully satisfied with the movie version.  There is just so much more you can put into a book than into a movie. 

I also dont know what is going to happen with Transformers,  I myself never really got into it, but my uncle who is about 7 years older than me (yeah i know it's wierd to have an uncle that young) was way into it in the 80's.  I think ill go see it just for kicks but i dont know if im going to treat it just as much as Pirates.  We'll see.

Yes, you wouldn't be fully satisfied with the movie version, but that is still the case if you hadn't read the book. Thanks to the choppy editing and hackneyed writing, certain parts of the films were carried through without their explanation. In "Goblet of Fire", a non-reader would have been totally in the dark as to why the crazy light stuff happened with Voldemort and Harry's wands. In "Prisoner of Azkaban", lupin's lycanthropy is rendered rather nonsensical because we don't get the explanation about the wolfsbane potion beforehand. If you can't back those parts up and support them with enough exposition that they will make sense, you should leave them entirely out of the movie.

yeah i agree the potters have been getting worse and worse.  the books have more and more material and the movies still have the same 2 and a half hours to do it in.

Transformers FTW!

As much as I don't like Bay movies that much, I think (hope) this movie is going to kick all kinds of ass. Can't wait.

Yeah, Transformers isn't  a sequel.  It has a fresh start.

Besides Transformers, is there any other big dollar blockbuster coming out July 4th?
